It has been 78 years since President Truman signed Executive Order 9981, mandating the desegregation of the U.S. military. This historic step is a powerful reminder of how far we've come for justice and inclusion for all, and the fight that remains.

Broadband access is crucial to so many aspects of our everyday lives, but we have faced an ongoing challenge to ensure our rural and underserved communities have broadband internet access. We must invest in broadband infrastructure that strengthens our communities.

The National Fish and Wildlife Foundation is awarding $20 million to help restore longleaf pine forests in Georgia. These forests are part of our natural heritage, and restoring them means healthier lands, stronger wildlife habitat, cleaner water, and a more resilient economy.

More than $300,000 of taxpayer money was spent on a 5-day special session to redraw Georgia's maps, resulting in redistricting efforts being paused. Government should always work for the people, not the other way around. Read more: ajc.com/politics/2026/…

Georgia has over 22 million acres of timberland, exporting almost $4 billion each year in forest products and providing almost 150,000 jobs to hardworking Georgians. That's why I’m fighting in Congress on behalf of Georgia's forest landowners and timber producers.
