@elliotrades I guess I should have started saying I wouldn't be too comfy longing. 😂

@elliotrades I think Trump and his delay on energy infrastructure attacks were solely to calm markets. Like before the deadline was pushed then they went ahead. I bet Friday after markets close.

@MarioNawfal It's all smoke and mirrors. Do you think they will really let IRGC stay? No. . . .
This was clearly a market move. Reduce fear. Wait till we get closer to the weekend. Bombing will be back on the table.

🚨 BREAKING:
🇺🇸🇮🇷 Trump says negotiations with Iran are actively taking place, led by Witkoff&Kushner.
He claims Iran wants to make a deal “BADLY” and that talks happened as recently as last night.
This contradicts Iran’s public denial of any contact.

🚨 BREAKING: 🇺🇸🇮🇱🇮🇷 U.S. kept Israel informed about its talks with Iran. Israel is now expected to align with the U.S. and suspend strikes on Iranian power plants and energy infrastructure. The move would mirror Trump’s 5-day pause as negotiations continue. Source: Reuters

@MacroCRG The fact Iran showed us their hand with missiles that have a longer reach just proves they can't be trusted. Why wait for the bomb in Europe when you can stop it now. It's all just a slow roll out. Trump is just taking some fear out of the markets. I bet friday it pops off.

One of 2 things just happened: Trump either changed his mind, or Iran is folding to the pressure
Her's what just went down:
- Trump set an ultimatum for Iran to open the Strait of Hormuz, or he will strike their energy infrastructure
- That deadline was meant to expire tomorrow morning
- Iran responded defiantly and threatened to strike energy infrastructure in the region
- Trump claimed negotiations went on behind the scenes, and he extended his deadline by 5 days
- The Iranians claim there were no negotiations, and this is just Trump walking back his threats
Either way, this is good news
Either Trump exerted maximum pressure to force Iran into concessions
Or Iran’s defiance and military capabilities forced Trump to walk back his threat
If it’s the latter, I hope Iran does not call him out and mock him, as this will only fuel Trump to escalate again
Does this all mean the war may still go on for months?
Yes, but this is unlikely because:
- The global economy is taking a massive hit (especially Europe and Asia)
- The Gulf is pissed
- American allies in Asia and Europe are also upset
- Voters aren’t happy
- And munition stockpiles are running low

@MarioNawfal After statements about reading nuclear weapons why would we wait? Yesterday they said this along with saying they need to make or acquire them? That is an invitation for everyone to flatten them.

IMPORTANT UPDATE:
Trump gave Iran a 48 hour deadline to open the Strait of Hormuz or he will bomb their power plants
Iran responded they are open to opening the Straits, but want an end to the war and assurances there won't be more wars
I think we have the foundation for an off-ramp. I hope both sides take it
The alternative could be catastrophic, especially for Iran
Side note: I interviewed Orban a couple of hours ago, and he made a very important point about the Iran war; If it ends now, it could be a great win for Trump and the U.S. The alternative could become much much worse
Fingers crossed!

@MarioNawfal Yup, some of the loudest nations have no real combat experience. The US whether you like it or not has shown how ineffective their adversaries are. Most countries just flex nukes to ward off any conflict.

🇨🇳🇮🇷 China's military exports just got the worst combat review in history
Iran bought Chinese air defense technology expecting a shield.
What it got was a screen door.
The pattern is devastating.
Pakistan's Chinese-made HQ-9B couldn't detect a single Indian strike during Operation Sindur.
Venezuela's Chinese radar missed 150 American aircraft flying through its airspace.
And now Iran's air defenses, built on the same Chinese foundations, collapsed in hours against the U.S.-Israeli assault.
But the hardware is only half the problem.
Over 20 senior PLA officers have been arrested for corruption in two years. China hasn't fought a real war since 1979.
Their weapons have never been stress-tested because the military selling them has never been stress-tested either.

🇮🇱🇺🇸🇮🇷 The IDF confirmed multiple sites in Tehran and central Iran (missile and weapons facilities) were struck. CENTCOM also confirmed precision strikes on IRGC-linked assets, like vessels tied to terror financing networks.
