Just built #picoemp , an open source electromagnetic fault injection tool designed by @colinoflynn It's the little brother of ChipShouter. Need to take some time and play with different probe designs. On my first try bricked a Nintendo G&W :)

@nmatt0 Yea, it’s much nicer than that one. Full access to the PicoEMP and just pressure clamps on the sides. @lukaskuzmiak did a kickass job on it.

There are lots of great tools out there for Software Defined Radios (SDRs). GNURadio. Universal Radio Hacker. So many more. BUT, did you ever wonder how these tools actually turn radio signals into digital data? The Ones and Zeros that we want to see? In my new video series, I'm pulling back the curtain on demodulation, the process of turning a radio signal into a digital one. We are going to use libuhd and write our own C++ code to do all the work. no shortcuts. no library calls for demod. Part 1: On-Off Keying

Small announcement: I received the Merge/Solo grant(@mergedotclub), supporting my project to make affordable scanning electron microscopes, accompanied by a slew of other scientific equipment. And a sneak peek of what's next :) Thanks to @mcmgoodall @julianweisser @aridutilh!

Is there any public code extraction research on locked PIC32MX2 devices, or PIC32 in general?

@BitBangingBytes Since I have like 4 pico emp's i have built over time, some I have modified, I was thinking of doing a pico emp revolver - moving across each in succession changing the timing to be close as possible to the first one.

@rce_trent A few professional tools I’ve seen stop at 500V so I don’t think you need to worry about that. Being able to increase the pulse rate is way more valuable going from a PicoEMP

The question is - how relevant is anything above 600v? I dunno I had pretty good experience using picoemp's I built with not as much power. Is there any documented instances where certain chips need above a certain voltage level to actually allow one to step through the rest of the glitching process? Even you got past w/o the 444 volts in bambam.

Combine this with the fact we can extract schematics and masks of the target IC and you will understand the concept of RE based attacks. Analyze the circuitry, plan a fault you like, go to the laser station, aim at the target and have fun :))

@RatShattered @Eotero56 Depends on use case, no mods needed to use as a basic power supply. Just put a resistor across the output and that’s it.

@BitBangingBytes @Eotero56 Do you need to mod their more basic units? , I got a biorad 300 for simple low current tube stuff that I haven't really jacked with yet. I didnt see any specs or instructions on paper that seemed mitigating
