We should revive traditional clothing. So many cultures have really cool traditions and manufacturing techniques shaped by local materials and climate. Everything has become so homogenized now that many people don’t even know how their ancestors dressed.

At my child’s Montessori school, they celebrated Ramadan. The kids wore white and threw colorful sand at each other. But instead of celebrating St. Patrick’s Day, they are celebrating Spring? They did not celebrate Christmas or Hanukkah, but they did have a parent come in and teach everyone about Kwanzaa. I love the school, but this seems wrong to me.
