Since Bitcoin runs on proof of work, whoever has the most hash/energy controls what gets into blocks. Hashrate dominance gives the power to censor transactions. If Bitcoin does become the global final settlement layer, controlling whose transactions get confirmed and whose don’t will be huge.

Bitcoin isn’t just magic internet money, it will be the base layer of all human activity in the future. Money is how we value the world around us, Bitcoin is money grounded by the laws of the universe- not the fickle and fallible laws of man.
