so far at least, i'm pretty sure AI has been net job-creating. this was not what i expected--although i was much less pessimistic than others, i thought by this level of capability we'd have seen some impact. it is possible this direction keeps going!

You need 2TB SSD and 16GB of ram to sync a bitcoin node now, let that sink in, with the current growth pace, running nodes will be unattainable for a large portion of the world.

Le pedí a Claude Fable 5 (Extra High) que construyera un bot de arbitraje para Polymarket. Una regla: operar solo cuando YES + NO < $1 Deposité $100 para probarlo. > en 2 horas casi lo duplicó (+$96.31) > en 5 horas mostró +$579 PnL > saldo actual: +$3,799.73 Costo: 10M tokens. Así es como funciona y por qué: Cada mercado BTC Up/Down en Polymarket tiene exactamente dos resultados. YES y NO. Cuando el mercado se resuelve, uno paga $1. El otro paga $0. Eso significa que poseer AMBOS lados debería costar siempre exactamente $1. Pero los mercados no son perfectos. A veces YES se negocia a $0.48 mientras NO se negocia a $0.49. Juntos eso es solo $0.97, así que el bot compra ambos al instante. Una posición que vale $1... por solo $0.97. Y Claude lo sabe, este es el arbitraje más simple que existe. Puedes pegar esto en él y usar esta lógica en tu prompt. Esta diferencia de $0.03 está asegurada independientemente de si Bitcoin sube, baja o se mantiene lateral. No se requiere predicción. Y la parte difícil no es encontrar la oportunidad, es la ejecución. Estas brechas de precios suelen desaparecer en segundos. Si una orden se ejecuta pero la otra no, la operación puede convertirse en una pérdida. Así que mi bot escanea constantemente cada mercado BTC, verifica tarifas, valida liquidez, coloca ambas órdenes casi simultáneamente y omite lo que no vale el riesgo. Es menos como operar y más como capturar pequeños errores contables antes de que todos los demás los noten. Curiosamente, la parte más difícil no fue escribir la lógica de arbitraje. I think the amount of Anthropic cancellations we wil see over the next 2–3 days will say enough. even I was only keeping the subscription for design work, and I’m probably cancelling now. subscriptions are clearly the way people want to use AI. almost nobody is going to be happy paying per token, especially for a frontier model like fable that burns through them like crazy..
