I 100% stand by the announcement and its significance. I’ve been consistent in forecasting big news and delivering on big news. I did the same in this instance. You can disagree with the importance of the news but to claim it was a “nothing burger” is simply cognitive dissonance or intentional ignorance. Nothing = nothing which is a false claim to make as there was significant news revealed. Many of the leaders of the outrage mob are people who have always not liked me because they can’t stand that I deliver big wins and all they have is their keyboard. The wild part is that the people who were the most upset and ‘crashing out’ guessed what it would be before the spaces then they showed up, had their expectations met, then preceded to meltdown over the outcome. I repeat, they got angry because I delivered exactly what they expected. These are not serious people. What did I forecast? I said the news would would be political in nature, good for building bi-partisan support for bitcoin, and *not* a country buying bitcoin. What did I announce? That the former majority leader of the state was running for Governor of the state of California and was making Bitcoin a center piece of the campaign. He is a strong and influential Democrat who can and will convince other Democrats to be on board with Bitcoin. He also announced he would support California buying Bitcoin. All of this aligns exactly with what I forecasted. For anyone who thought it would be “bigger” you may have seen other accounts trying to forecast the outcome and they made exaggerated claims that were not substantiated by my words. I told them to please correct their posts because they were misleading. It is my belief that there are three primary reasons why people are mad: 1. Haters who always hate 2. Other accounts exaggerating 3. People who hate democrats At the end of the day, this announcement was very big for my mission to maintain bi-partisan support for bitcoin. Something I believe is critically at risk in the country. Without bi-partisan consensus we will never ever have a Strategic Bitcoin Reserve or other important federal policies. This is a know reality by anyone with a brain. I said ALL of this in the spaces and explained exactly why the CA Gov race matters. But due to the dynamics in play which are outside my control, people chose to get angry. Im not going to apologize for delivering on what I said I would deliver.
