We need decentralized, Web3 wallet like encrypted online identities. Today, over 16 billion login credentials have been stolen from Apple, Facebook, and Google. This wouldn't happen in a Web3-based identity system where everyone stores their credentials locally. @MirraTerminal

AI agentic wallets like MagicNewton and BankrBot are just the beginning. They are only for enthusiasts yet. In 2 years, AI agentic wallets will take the place of the regular wallets. Just needs to improve and become retail user friendly to enable mass adoption. @MirraTerminal

The Illusion of Decentralization in Crypto Governance Decentralization is the founding myth of blockchain. It promises a future where no single entity controls the system and everyone has a say. But in practice, decentralization is often more cosmetic than real. Token-based governance, DAOs, and community votes are frequently dominated by a small number of wealthy players. The myth is cracking, and the cracks are visible in recent real-world examples. Take the case of Arbitrum in 2023. The Arbitrum Foundation proposed to allocate 750 million ARB tokens to itself for ecosystem development. The vote was presented to the DAO after the tokens were already moved. When the community pushed back, the Foundation responded by breaking the vote into smaller pieces, essentially reaffirming control. Despite being a "community-led" chain, the outcome showed who really holds power: those with tokens, not voices. Another example is Optimism. After a user discovered a governance vulnerability and used it to create a massive voting bloc, the team intervened. They invalidated the results and removed the votes. While this may have protected the protocol, it also revealed a centralized override switch. Governance only worked as long as the decisions were approved by the core team. Even Uniswap, one of the most used DeFi platforms, has seen decisions pushed through with support from a handful of major token holders like a16z and venture backers. In 2024, a vote to integrate a new layer-2 solution passed largely due to bloc voting by a16z, while the broader community expressed skepticism. This creates a dangerous illusion. The frontend says DAO. The backend says cartel. If decentralization means anything, it must go beyond smart contracts and token snapshots. True decentralization requires broader token distribution, sybil-resistant identity, cultural inclusion, and accountability mechanisms for large stakeholders. Until then, we must acknowledge the truth. Many Web3 projects wear the mask of decentralization but run on old-world hierarchies. And unless that changes, blockchain risks becoming just another centralized system with a prettier interface. @MirraTerminal
