Dear KIVA community members:
We are very honored to announce that KIVA has fulfilled its promise ahead of schedule and officially upgraded from a Layer 2 (L2) solution to a Layer 1 (L1) public chain. This milestone upgrade marks KIVA's entry into the ranks of leading L1 public chains such as Ethereum, Sui, Solana, and Avalanche. In the future, KIVA's project construction will be fully centered around the attributes of the L1 public chain to provide a more efficient and decentralized blockchain ecosystem.
To ensure the transparency and smooth progress of the upgrade process, we simultaneously announce the following important matters:
1. During the upgrade, KIVA's original blockchain browser and test network may experience short-term fluctuations or be temporarily inaccessible. After the upgrade is completed, everything will return to normal.
2. The originally issued $KIVA test tokens and $MC (MotiCoin) incentive tokens will be discarded after the upgrade. After the upgrade is completed, we will synchronously convert the test tokens held by users into new tradable tokens on the KIVA L1 public chain main network based on historical issuance records.
3. The current community distribution method (including APP, Telegram and web mining) remains unchanged. After 50% of the community quota is distributed, the relevant rewards will be mapped to the KIVA L1 public chain and converted into tradable KIVA tokens.
4. After the upgrade is completed, KIVA will be launched on the L1 test network and L1 official network environment. In the test network, community users can receive test network tokens through the official faucet and participate in functional testing. The test results will be used to optimize and improve the performance of the L1 official network. In addition, the L1 official network will open node applications. We will release detailed node construction tutorials and reward mechanisms in the future. The community is welcome to actively participate.
5. At present, the core architecture of the KIVA L1 public chain has been developed, and related blockchain functions are being improved and verified. Please refer to the official subsequent announcement of KIVA for the specific launch time.
This upgrade not only significantly improves the performance and scalability of the KIVA blockchain, but also reflects the KIVA team's firm determination to build the KIVA blockchain. We sincerely thank the community and partners for their support. KIVA will continue to move forward steadily towards its goals and bring more innovation and value to users and developers.
