We wanted to properly address the situation regarding Mark's former VA, Fauzan Achmad (also known as Faza), and Sozzay - as well as how the team will address these sorts of issues going forth if they ever arise.

I've reflected over the last 24 hours and have processed more thoughts.

As a writer on the team, here is my response.

heads up: if it sounds like we are defending sozzay, we are NOT. it's very difficult not to let the bias slip, though. she's been a really close friend of mine from the start, and knowing her caring and strong personality this was really out of left field, and we're all just as -

@Antithess @Magnum_Tornadu thank you. and yeah, poor wording from me. i believe the primary focus should always be on the victims so i wanted energy this early into the response to be about that. i'm not perfect either and i'll look upon what needs to be done however i can

@BitesizeBird @Magnum_Tornadu Listen I get that. I wasn't really expecting a reply right away because of that to be honest. Take the time you need on that front. But like...I hope you understand why telling someone who is asking this to "focus on the victims instead" comes off as more sweeping under the rug.

@Antithess @Magnum_Tornadu i definitely agree and we are already currently investigating internally and discussing with each other what we know. progress might be slower than we all wish on that front due to us needing time to process this ourselves. it's been a very emotional day for all of us

@BitesizeBird @Magnum_Tornadu Not doing that due diligence is negligence. It's just further sweeping this under the rug. You guys might not know who told v/n this right now and that's OK: but you need to WANT to know who told her and deal with it. Because otherwise, this is going to happen again.

@Antithess @Magnum_Tornadu i'm hoping to get a response from sozzay. i've never spoken to aji so it's not my place to say. you certainly can talk about this and please do, but the victim's safety is most important! i'm not the guy to ask for details because i know just as much (or even less!) than you do.

@Magnum_Tornadu @BitesizeBird But the fact two writers have instead of asking either Souzzay or Aji for clarification on this and have instead now asked me to not talk about this at all? Sorry. That doesn't sit right.

@Antithess i see the issue and i won't support anyone that defends faza or what he did. i'm a relatively new person to the team so i honestly really don't know the specifics of every situation. i hardly keep up with regular announcements, let alone who tells who what

@BitesizeBird Souzzay knew because Aji tried to confront her about this. Souzzay, presumably, told no one else on your team about what Faza has done. If this is how it actually went down, only Souzzay and Aji would have known. So how did V/n know? Do you not see the issue here?

@Antithess i'm quite outside of the fangan sphere so i've not actually heard of this person or this project before. how they know is beyond me and i'm not really the person to ask. as others have mentioned, i would personally focus on supporting the victims here

@bra_shaka @SozzayDR it's not actively being worked on right now, but it still does float to my mind. P:EG and my personal visual novel are taking most of our times respectively but i'd love to work on MK2 again. no promises but i'll see what can be arranged

@BitesizeBird @SozzayDR Now that chapter 1 of P:EG is over, any chance of DR: MK2 coming back? If so, would there be a bonus scene like there is in canon?

Influenced by Higurashi, it's about a detective who's popstar friend disappears on stage while performing and how that might be potentially linked to an urban legend of a monster that supposedly steals faces.

@JVcreator37403 @SozzayDR No new minigames. I considered it but it's impossible with the limitations of the engine (or at least my capabilities!) I did wonder if the old Hangman's Gambit was still lying in the DR2 engine somewhere but never got around to testing that.

@JVcreator37403 @SozzayDR I have my own priorities now, including my own VN that I'm working on. Later chapters of MK2 are more ambitious and might be impossible to implement into a mod. Never say never but I wouldn't get hopes up. At the very least, I'd love for what was written to see the light of day.

@JVcreator37403 @SozzayDR It's been on hiatus for a good for years. Sozzay and I have been focusing on Project Eden's Garden Chapter 1 and after its release, hopefully will return to MK2. For the mod, I got burnt out around the same time. Chapter 1 is mostly playable with a few bugs.
