To the question "Where do we buy bitmaps from now on?" If you appreciate bitmaps as much as you do your favorite snack, then I'd say just buy them wherever they sell the originals. 🟧

@Bitmapbuilder @InscribedSpace That explains why it has no volume, it should be listed under ordinal collection. @unisat_wallet any plans to fix the location for bitmaps? you've hidden one of the highest volume ordinal collections under your naming system. Its way to difficult for the average user to find.

To whoever is building a #bitmap index: make sure it follows the ord ruleset, especially envelope.rs. We've seen valid bitmaps go unrecognized in some community tools — ME handles them correctly and in full accordance with ord.

@Bitmapbuilder @InscribedSpace Does Unisat have a marketplace for bitmaps? I can only find a random bitmap artwork collection.

It's as if they were doing a single pass for the FIF indexing, and in the event they missed a block, were not running a second confirmation/maintenance pass. There was nothing irregular about the ones missed(not edge cases), it appeared exactly like a system down with no consistency check.

@Bitmapbuilder Could definitely be. They may have changed how indexing works recently. My last tests on ME were about 5 months ago. Still, the only reliable way to build an index is to use ord itself—parse inscriptions exactly as ord does, rather than extracting data from witness/P2TR.

2+ years into this whole "news" shtick, has much changed? idk you tell me... we've watched extractions happen in real time, terms and projects get relabeled, profile bios swapped for new narratives, good people losing their trust/sats to shameless larps - on the flip side - we've witnessed real builders and artists create their dreams and deploy value to the chain + community listened to 1000's of cyberpunks share their visions for a decentralized new era of digital identity helped promote the ethos and values of a more sound money and data storage system that will change the way we operate in modern society gave little shits about name, title, project or vision - if it wasn't backed by the imperative POW now we sit here in the mempool, tourist season seems to be over, based locals only - still championing freedom tech wherever it leads - I'm proud of this collective journey, this shared battle, this persistent march towards sovereignty and permissionless prosperity. onward, pioneers, fuck em up.
