@BlakeBrinkley31 Really would be a great setting! "When you wish upon a (weird) star, your (worst) dreams come true..."

@billtherad Nevertheless, when a player decides to use a move, the scope of the conversation is immediately limited and redirected by that choice of move. We are suddenly using specialized rules as we play to find out if you can "comfort or support" me, or what will happen when we "dance".

@billtherad I think of the move set as the palette which players can draw from to construct a story in a given genre (even if they are unfamiliar with the genre in question). In Masks, the moves punctuate the conversation, whereas in MF0 the conversation mostly sits inside the moves.

There are so many great resources for writing pbta games. Are there good ones for Firebrands I should know?

@billtherad I don't know of any straightforward advice, but Hierophants, Superstars, and We Became Seabirds are all worth looking at as good examples expanding the subgenre.

@billtherad Vincent has said that Firebrands are pbta, just with really big moves (games), so I suppose all the meta-advice still applies.

Representation in media is when a random NPC table tells you to play a masochistic bunnygirl podcaster. Join us for a 66 minute rapid-fire one-shot of supernatural Japanese schoolgirls, biker gangs, and cultists in @nekoewen's Kagegami High: open.spotify.com/episode/0N2uYO…

This is AWESOME! I haven't had a chance to read Kagegami High myself yet, but this is a really fun episode and the game's random tables sound amazing!
