Hi caitz all love no war here, maybe there is a problem with my English or you probably don't know what's up with the system. Never have I once said I wished gachas models should be worse just like the old days, it's the direct opposite. Gacha games' business models have been improving, and you cannot deny the worst situation for both games is in clear favour for AKE, IE 120 vs 180. It's ironic saying I'm arguing in bad faith when you said "AKE is a system that literally punishes you for MAKING progress if you don't fully commit." One could also say you win the 50-50 in AKE with a higher % since the odds are 0.4% vs 0.3% for the rate up on top of lower soft pity at 65+, but its illogical to compare it this way. By taking the worst scenario and compare it to genshin after you lose a 50-50 or building pity, is by nature an actual bad faith argument made by yourself. Noone forced you to pull a banner, and self control is a real issue within gacha games but it has nothing to do with the gacha probability when we are talking about quantitative numbers here. This is like complaining about gambling impulses and angry that the casino doesn't stop you from gambling when you get there. The best analogy I can think of is: AKE gives insurance to the unlucky players, but not everyone would need the insurance, some might even be extremely lucky and proc early 6*s, which I have also explained why that system benefits players in 50-50s more. In a sense, these 'lucky players' are indirectly paying for the business bottom line to make up for the lower number of pulls an unlucky player would have spent. Whether that's better or worse is entirely dependant on who's the receiving end, and me explaining the business model doesn't make me a grifting rat when I dedicated 4 years in a business degree on finance and marketing. I've went to 160+ for a single E0, I've also went to triple SSRs in a single 10 pull. On the times I went to 160 I'd wish for a 120 spark, and on the times I get triple SSRs I'm thankful it's not AKE where I could lose all 3 5050s. Hope this helps.
