I genuinely feel a bit of pity for Prashant Kishor. He’s put his career and credibility on the line trying to make people in Bihar vote based on development rather than identity or short term factors. But when even a relatively developed state like Tamil Nadu doesn’t always vote purely on development, expecting Bihar to shift so quickly feels unrealistic. The ground realities of politics are far more complex. That’s why it seems unlikely he’ll succeed anytime soon but if I’m proven wrong, nothing would be better.
