@JDurham_FBall @JKBOGEN I’m assuming from what we have heard they wanted to keep it under wraps so they could trade down and still get him but no one called them to trade the pick and had to settle high, he was for sure getting scooped up either way
English

Very interesting, Ty Simpson spoke on the radio with ESPN today about pre-draft process with the Rams
"We tried to keep this under wraps as long as we could, It was something to where I knew they were interested, but they wanted to make it private and didn't want people to know that they were interested.
So I had some secret meetings with Coach McVay and I just was trying to be on script and do what everybody told me and not to tell anybody."
English

@adamsteffen3 @RapSheet @nflnetwork Always get a pass cause they rarely pick in the first round. Also everyone has been tearing them apart for making this pick. They tried to trade back to pick him later but got no calls so they pulled the trigger. McVay has led this team to a ton of success and draft well overall
English

Rams are always getting a pass on bad picks. But no other teams in the league get this kind of leeway from the media. If McVay had led them to 3 super bowls I get it, but that’s just not the case. It was a reach, period. And the media, except Dan Orvlosky, would be tearing down this pick every chance they get it were ANY other team.
English

From The Insiders on @NFLNetwork: The #Rams took QB Ty Simpson, in part because it may be their only opportunity for years to take a QB that high.
English

@thealexiskraft There is a lot of 2nd round talent and trading isn’t off the table either, we can still fill the needs other ways, it’s not ideal but this has always been a cloud over our heads with our future after stafford, let’s wait and see how everything else unfolds before dooming it
English

okay, so here’s my honest thoughts on the rams picking ty simpson at #13…. and keep in mind, my thoughts are subject to change, but this is my immediate feelings…. and this has nothing to do with the kid himself. don’t be a weirdo and make things personal.
the rams are the super bowl favorite… they were *thiiiiiisssss* close to going to the super bowl last year. they SHOULD HAVE been in the super bowl last year. then… matthew stafford wins NFL MVP and announces he’s coming back for next season… vibes are high. your stellar football team is, for the most part, back together. sean mcvay signs an extension. we’re crushing it. and the super bowl is being held in LA in 2027? it’s written in the stars!
you then address your biggest glaring weakness in free agency - cornerback. you trade for a top 5 corner in the league in trent mcduffie and make him the highest paid cornerback ever. you sign jaylen watson. you announce davante adams is coming back.
you go into the draft with some glaring needs - a trustworthy WR3, a potential starting OT / OT depth, maybe a linebacker, maybe even a guy who can compete for CB3 and provide critical secondary depth after you lose 3 of your corners in the offseason. it’s important to take a player in the first round who will round out your team and contribute to a super bowl run…. and instead, you take a QB who won’t play this year and maybe even the year after. and not only that, it’s a QB who many had graded as a day 2…. maybe even early day 3 guy?
why are you taking someone who isn’t providing you with a weapon to propel yourself to the super bowl this year? it feels arrogant to just assume no help is needed. i mean… really?
sorry but i don’t see the value here at all, whatsoever. maybe it’s the rams “guy” but by the looks of it…. it doesn’t seem like mcvay was on board whatsoever. maybe he’ll address the clips, maybe he won’t, but we’re all seeing the same thing. that’s really concerning.
i really don’t understand the rams not taking someone at #13 who can contribute. i guess the bright side is if jimmy g retires, we maybe now have a new backup quarterback.
this has nothing to do with ty simpson and everything to do with positional value and going from “win now” mode to “we are planning for the future”… feels like a disservice to the team.
we will see. i’m rooting for ty!
English

@HoldenCantor I have faith in this dude, from what I’ve seen he can read defenses and pre snap adjust, with time under stafford he could be our next up field general or hold it down for the next guy, I’ll have to see more
English

@vinceayg_ Was he picked high, sure, but I trust in what they see, we need a QB for the future, plenty of other picks to go, I think we let them cook
English

I wonder if this is true across the board. Lot of large streamers I use to be in their chats and discords talking to when they had 5-20 viewers. I would be surprised if any of them ever thought about where I’m at now after all these years.
JordanK@Real_JordanK
I've been streaming on Twitch now for over 12 years and I can honestly say that seeing thousands of people come and go over that time is the hardest part. So many people who used to be in chat that I will probably never see there again. Streamers genuinely miss old viewers
English

@ilovejowee They just removed the gradient fades and minor tweaks, new uniforms looks to be dropping in the summer and just fixed the main complaints on the current ones for now
English

@RamsNFL @HoldenCantor These were the quick fixes to the current ones and the some new ones potentially this summer, let em cook
