@s_m_marandi I hope your return carries a message of peace for the people of Iran and the entire world. May this war end, and may it usher in a new ray of hope for dialogue, restraint, and lasting peace.

The Baloch people take immense pride in their language and cultural heritage. For centuries, Balochi poetry has been a cornerstone of our society, preserving our history, values, identity, and collective memory. Our poets have long been the voice of wisdom, resilience, and social conscience. To associate this rich literary tradition with extremism is not only inaccurate but also deeply hurtful to a people whose culture is built upon honour, dignity, and expression through words and art. What is even more concerning is that such remarks appear to be doing everything possible to offend and provoke the ordinary Baloch, the very people whose trust and confidence the state should be trying to rebuild. At a time when bridges between the state and the people of Balochistan must be strengthened, statements like these only risk widening an already painful divide. I strongly condemn these remarks and urge greater respect for Balochi language, literature, and the cultural institutions that have shaped our society for generations. Our poetry is not a threat; it is the soul of our people!

This so-called Pashtun–Baloch debate is a reckless and dangerous fabrication. Our people have lived together for centuries with mutual respect and brotherhood. Pitting marginalized communities against one another is the most irresponsible and self-serving act any politician can commit.

So far 20 councillors from the National Party and 19 from JUI-F have been notified unopposed in Quetta’s municipal elections. Funny, neither of these parties has a single seat in the provincial assembly, our mandate was conveniently 'shared' by PPP, PML-N, and BAP. Meanwhile, these parties can barely manage a response, let alone field candidates in most wards. December 28th’s election in Quetta will expose many candidates and constituencies falsely elected through Form 47.

Two most prominent names of Balochi literature; Mur Gul Khan Naseer and Sayad Hashmi. AI is bringing history back to life.

Deeply shocked and saddened to learn that Waleed Saleh, brother of National Party’s Rahmat Saleh Baloch, has been brutally shot and killed in front of his home in Panjgur.

Overjoyed to learn that during the three-day festival in Turbat, books worth over 6 million rupees were sold and more than 65,000 people attended. This is the Balochistan the world needs to know about.

Heartbroken and furious to hear that the house of former student leader/former Chairman BSO Pajjar Zubair Baloch was ambushed in broad daylight in Chaghi. A brave voice has been silenced today.

Today, the government unleashed a brutal crackdown on peaceful protesters in differrnt parts of Balochistan, arresting and manhandling the leadership and workers of PKMAP, the National Party, BNP Mengal, ANP, and others who dared to raise their voices. These tactics are not new. Time and again, they have been used during periods of unrest, and each time they only dragged the country deeper into crisis. Crushing political movements by force has never worked, and it never will. Instead of respecting democratic rights, our elections are brazenly rigged, our public gatherings are deliberately targeted, and our peaceful protesters are beaten, humiliated, and thrown behind bars. When the right to campaign is stolen, when the ballot is manipulated, and when even the right to protest is crushed, what alternative is left for political parties? The solution is not repression, but reconciliation. It is not silencing voices, but listening to them. If Pakistan is to progress, it must abandon this path of political engineering and authoritarianism and instead return to the principles of democracy, federalism, and justice.

The space for parliamentary politics and for those who believe in the democratic path is shrinking with every passing day in Balochistan. Yesterday’s suicide bomb blast, which claimed 14 precious lives, is not just another act of violence, it is a devastating reminder of how dark and fragile the political landscape has become. It is a day of mourning, not only for the families of the victims but for Pakistan’s democracy itself. #quettablast

Mainstream political parties suddenly become champions of the “smaller provinces” whenever their own leaders can’t brave the hot waters. Yesterday, Hasil Bizenjo was good enough to be Chairman Senate; today, Mahmood Khan Achakzai is conveniently fit for Leader of the Opposition. How noble. Once the dust settles, so do their memories.

Today marks the 5th anniversary of Uncle Hasil Jan. With each passing day, the void his absence has left in democratic politics only grows deeper. His wisdom, courage, and unwavering commitment to democratic values are profoundly missed. Leaders like him are rare; they don’t make men like you anymore. His legacy continues to inspire us, reminding us of the immense responsibility he carried and the principled path he walked for the people of Balochistan and Pakistan.

Deeply shocked and saddened to learn that my friend, Yousuf Qalandrani, has been forcibly abducted from Karachi. Yousuf, a politically progressive and educated individual, is the son of Sardar Ali Mohammad Qalandrani and an active member of JUI-F. He had also contested as JUI-F candidate for Vice Chairman in recent local body elections of Khuzdar. If he is guilty of anything, he should be presented before a court of law rather than subjected to such unlawful treatment. #ReleaseYousafAliKhanQalandrani
