Also this isn't me saying "oh dek is the strongest yautja ever!!" I'm just saying that a certain group of ppl (cough cough) shouldn't be acting like Dek is incapable of staying true to the nature of the predators that we know just because he teams up with a woman and an animal

People who call Dek “weak” forget that he literally has the most on-screen kills of any yautja in the franchise. He DECIMATED the Weyland yutani base WITH HIS BACK TURNED TO THEM. And bonding with not one but TWO Kalisks is an even bigger flex

@theZilla1998 also there was a time jump between the final battle on Genna and when Dek returned to Yautja Prime so I mean who’s to say he didn’t train to fight other Yautja throughout that time

@Blackout_Unit I think the idea of Dek being super duper tough and stronger than most Yautja we've seen is silly and devalues the whole point of him being a runt of his kind

@GoudasArt And notably, he survived Genna when several other likely-fully grown Yautja didn’t

@Blackout_Unit Dek being "weak" ironically shows how strong the Yautja are if a guy who's considered deformed and frail by his people is able to take monsters 10 times his size

@Anomalocatus I think the only reason he seems “humanized” is because of the fact he’s young and was actively on his first hunt. I don’t think he’s necessarily approachable either, since he did try looking down on Thia as well as other creatures on Genna (and only accepted Bud because of her)

@Blackout_Unit I think he is cool and pretty capable but I did find him a bit too humanized? Maybe it's just me, I know yautjas aren't blood thirsty monsters but I would expect them to have a more distinct way of thinking than humans and not be as approachable overall.

@Os12piscis Most of the people who call him weak are 50 year old “fans” who think the first movie is all abt testosterone and hate badlands for having women be relevant

@Blackout_Unit Are there actually people calling him weak? His fight with the Kalisk already made it clear that he is on a whole new level.
