@DSPetolicchio So I’m a follower of Asatru and Thelema, two European “pagan” polytheistic religions. I can follow whatever religion I want and the followers of my religion can display whatever they want. However, I would not expect a Christian denomination to fund a building project for me.

I mean, it's plainly evil for anyone that claims to be a Christian. God doesn't appreciate people building temples to pagan gods. This is a horrible look for the LDS, and is just further proof that LDS =\= Christian and never has.
Myers Alva@tizintest

The LDS Church has made similar donations to other faiths, including for the construction of Hindu temples and an Ethiopian Christian church in Utah. This is not an uncommon practice for them and should not be viewed out of context. Misguided or not, they are being consistent in their policy of interfaith support.

What I love about this post is the fact that nobody is really addressing the obvious point that Christianity is useful for self-delusion about instant cleansing of the consequences of one's actions, and how this is used in a cynical political way x.com/i/status/20361…

My wife was formerly promiscuous. I was a virgin. She was then radically born-again. Committed to church, evangelized constantly, Puritan books in her bedroom, prayer journals, grief over past sexual sin, etc. We got to know each other well for over a year, dated for four months, engaged for two and a half, and didn't sin sexually with one another. Our first kiss with each other was at the altar on our wedding day (reaction pic attached!). We've been married for over five years now, and she's been the most wonderful and godly wife, mother to our three children, and homemaker you could imagine. She's more pure than most virgins, as biblical purity has less to with past sins (though they certainly matter) and more to do with one's current posture of the heart and daily decisions to honor the Lord (Matt. 5:8). We're far too quick to forget the story of the woman labeled as a known "sinner" (likely a prostitute) in Luke 7:36-50 who was washing Jesus' feet with her tears while kissing them too. The Pharisees were shocked that Jesus let a public sinner do this. Jesus responded with a parable about debts being forgiven and ended with this powerful conclusion: "Her many sins have been forgiven; that’s why she loved much. But the one who is forgiven little, loves little" (Luke 7:47). Everyone seems to highlight the benefits of virginity, and it certainly is a blessing. But we forget to highlight the benefits of being forgiven much as well. My wife knows the depths of Jesus' forgiveness more than most people, enabling her to more easily live out a life of passionate love for her Savior. A woman or man's past sexual sin matters. But what matters far more when it comes to deciding who to marry is if the person is truly born again, if their repentance is real, if they truly have a heart for Christ, if they truly follow Jesus and obey his commands. "God has chosen what is foolish in the world to shame the wise, and God has chosen what is weak in the world to shame the strong. God has chosen what is insignificant and despised in the world — what is viewed as nothing — to bring to nothing what is viewed as something, so that no one may boast in his presence. It is from him that you are in Christ Jesus, who became wisdom from God for us — our righteousness, sanctification, and redemption, — in order that, as it is written: 'Let the one who boasts, boast in the Lord.'" (1 Cor. 1:27-31) "Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old has passed away, and see, the new has come!" (2 Cor. 5:17)

Traditional Western moral virtues are gatekept with layers and layers of controlled opposition and grifting to such an extent that the West is doomed to fall, unless something drastic comes in and re-arranges society. Especially the fake normative Christianity, needs to be out.

@JRuebl47185 The actual answer is the anti-European spirit that's in the Bible. Rome being identified as the Whore of Babylon and the Chthonic beast from the primal waters powered by Satan Keep teaching that and people are instilled with an antagonism to European history and culture

Something in me snapped this morning when I saw the post by Blaze TV about Allie Stuckey’s dinosaur skepticism. She is being positioned to be this conservative “thought leader” and the replacement for Charlie Kirk in activism. Observing this phenomenon on the Right has been one of the most politically demoralizing things. This is not about “paganism” or a respect for my religion or anything of the sort. This is about the inability for the Right to get itself together intellectually. Conservatives bemoan the Left’s influence but only knew who Derrida and Foucault were when an eccentric Canadian professor named Jordan Peterson educated them on it. For the longest time conservatives were opposed to public education, not because of quality and not because of equity, but because of Jesus and evolution and not wanting children to learn about science. They bemoan “trans” but don’t do anything to educate people about biology, evolution, or actually sex psychology which proves that there is no such thing as transgender. They can’t do that. Instead they keep pounding on Biblical literalism and have now created three generations of scientific illiterates. So they call for homeschooling, which is fine in the short term, but we can’t have a society based on homeschooling. You’re going to need schools for people. You’re going to have to find a way to replace these teachers with better ones and teach science, literature, philosophy etc. But no. They are completely abandoning education because they don’t know how to compete with postmodernism. Instead they cater to people like Allie Stuckey and “dinosaur skepticism.” How is “Christian conservativism” going to keep America ahead in the sciences? How are Evangelicals going to fix our schools? THEY AREN’T. America is a failed state. Neither side wants to improve our education. It’s just Karl Marx, Foucault, Mohammed, and Jesus. How did it get this bad?

@x4projecttasks @bosco6000000 @MaxNordau You lack basic reading comprehension, and that's why he makes fun of you. He's making a point about Jesus representing the highest ideal of pacifistic love and goodness, which isn't always practical. It's actually shocking he would view Jesus in such positive terms.

@RichardBSpencer You're missing the fact that the State requires at least some level of consent from some part of the popul, and it doesn't always emerge from competing entities. Take the USSR; the Russia Federation wasn't a competing entity, the USSR simply lost the consent of the ruling class.

No state has a right to exist. States emerge … they divide … they disappear. Did Czechoslovakia have a “right to exist”? To claim that any state has a “right to exist” is to freeze the status quo in a kind of sacred slumber, to deny the history of the state and foreclose future transformation. States emerge when an entity gains a monopoly on violence over a territory and population. The state proves itself to be a state through violent confrontation with competing entities or the natural elements. The only rights a state has are those it gives to itself by virtue of being a state, namely the right to punish and kill its internal population and the right to attack and destroy other states. A state is not a social insurance system, a holding company, or a garden club. A state should not be confused with a nation. In turn, entities that did not emerge as states, and do not possess a state’s right to violence, should not be confused with states. All other discussions about a state’s “right to exist” are equivalent to discussions about the “right to exist” of Santa Claus.

@TheAliceSmith Sure, when Christianity was finalized and normalized at Nicaea, it permanently adopted, at some level, the moral and cultural values of Rome, both Eastern Rome and Western Rome. It is a European-Jewish Syncretic religion.

@more_amalek @Know_More_News Also, if God is punishing us for our sins, why does he blame the Jews so much? Aren't they the ones that promoted pornography, mass media, and degenerate values? Why does God punish us and give them an ethnostate?

He's not completely wrong. Generative AI lacks any process of creation, and therefore cannot be considered art. AI can become a tool to assist in the creation of genuine art. But neither is most of the slop that "artists" have been churning out over the past decade. A decade of top-down, socially engineered, committee-approved corpo slop propaganda turned artists into a production line prompted by HR departments. Too afraid to express genuine truth and meaning. So AI didn't replace artists, they replaced themselves.

Wrong. The Dead Sea Scrolls show vast differences in spelling and syntax and is only 90% similar in the best copies. But this is no different than our oldest Homer or Herodotus copies. Why would people change these? You are bragging about a miracle that is just average stuff.
𝕊𝕠𝕝𝕒 ℂ𝕙𝕒𝕕 🎚️@sola_chad

The Dead Sea Scrolls, discovered in 1947, contain Old Testament manuscripts over 1,000 years older than previously known copies. When compared to later copies, the text was nearly identical. God preserved it through the centuries, just like He said He would (Isaiah 40:8).

@Gnosisinformant This is the actual secret and basis of all legitimate Western esoteric and mystical traditions. Even Saint John Chrysostom explained that the redirection of Eros towards God was a vital part of spiritual ascent. This Hesiodic eros is also one of the patron gods of Hermeticism.

Eros is the Supreme Daimon. Any civilization that doesn't properly honor Eros is completely worthless and would be better off not existing. "Eros is a god who is both young, beautiful, and winged; Therefore he delights in the youth, follows after beauty, and gives wings to the soul... He has more power than Zeus himself. He rules over the elements; he rules over the stars; he rules over his fellow gods... All the flowers are the work of Eros, all the trees are his creation, and on his account rivers flow and winds blow... I have even known a bull in love, and he bellowed as if stung by a gadfly."
