This week in assembly we explored the exciting world of STEAM careers – Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Mathematics. It was fantastic to see students thinking about future pathways and the possibilities that STEAM subjects can offer in a rapidly changing world of work.

Our Headteacher Mrs Hudson was honoured to speak alongside Dee Denton and Esther Ghey at the Lord Mayor's International Women's Day event this morning. We would like to share our deepfelt thanks for this opportunity, celebrating women as strong role models for future generations.

We were so pleased to see so many of our students engaging with World Book Day today. Thank you to all who dressed up and took part in our lunchtime World Book Day quiz - and an extra congratulations to our quiz winners, Dahlia, Claire, Violet and Amani! 📚️

We would like to say well done to the group of our students took part in a Higher Level Maths Achievement Programme Student Study Day at the University of Chester. They represented the school brilliantly, showing fantastic attitudes towards developing their mathematical thinking.

📚️ To celebrate World Book Day this year, we would like to encourage our students to come to school in a costume inspired by a book - please note we expect any students not in costume to arrive in their usual uniform. A letter has gone home on Edulink with more details.

This week we will be working with our students to celebrate National Careers Week, using resources across all subjects to discuss the world of careers and work. This is a fantastic opportunity for students to widen their horizons and considering a wide range of careers.

Yesterday our Year 8 students enjoyed an exiting trip to Chester Racecourse, in partnership with @racingtoschool. The day was structured to bring learning to life through real-world experiences, linking classroom topics to the world of sport, history, maths, science and careers.
