@Judgmental_Jim @JDSportsfan85 He did well for us in the little we saw him. New manager now so the loan last year less of a factor I think. He has barely played for 2 years is the risk with him.
English

@JDSportsfan85 Sheffield United are in contention, surely that’s a better landing spot for a permanent deal given he’s already been there on loan. Idk it doesn’t sound right to me either, but also neither did some other Padraig classics
English

Based on what I’m hearing from the Rapidsverse, Rob Holding would be a classic “Padraig smith distressed asset” signing. One of perhaps higher profile than some of the others
Idk man. There’s gotta be other options out there, I know Holding is going to want a hefty wage and I’m not sure it’s worth the risk. Chat, what we think?
English

@alvaro_sr57 I don’t think it’s the average fan. There is interest as he was one of the first players brought into the club by the new owners system. There is a lot a scepticism around the model they are using and so people are looking closely to see if it’s for football or other reasons
English

Me fascina cómo el aficionado promedio del Sheffield United tiene en alta estima a Jefferson Cáceres. No sé si es por las risas o por qué, pero lo tratan mejor que los mismos peruanos.

@chris_kammy We should try and name them all. I see Brucie and DLT. Don't know who Peppa Pig is
English

@ArtyBianco Will the background be in? If so the second one give extra placement.
English

@billythalheimer @paulg I think this might be one of the coolest things I have ever seen, and I’m not entirely sure what it is.
English

@G7SEV @mick_holohan He had a yellow Lamborghini and spent a lot of time getting treatment… and eating. That should give you the picture.
English

@Bladerama @mick_holohan From what I’ve read he lacks quite a bit of motivation?
English

@G7SEV @mick_holohan He was fantastic for a bit. Could mix it against any team in the prem and then he put about two stone on. And barely played again.
English

@mick_holohan New Bohs striker. Played for Sheffield United a good few years ago.
English

@TortosaExpat @Panchero @bladespod It was fantastic. Far superior to any other model, even an on point PR team. The reality was you could tell folks things in a straight way that an official team wouldn’t ; you also left clues in a way they couldn’t.
English

@Panchero @bladespod ...just dispel some of the worry. Realistically official channels will never give that. Even more so when talking player sales, probably more than purchases. We tried it, some loved it, some loathed it. Without it, official comms needs to be a bit more on point.

@TortosaExpat The Texan bar was the robust choice. This was for the more delicate consumer.

Profit on Trusty and Slimane - doubt many would have predicted that watching them both last season (probably Traore as well with how well he is doing)
Connor Southwell@cjsouthwell1902
Update on this evening - #NCFC are now in the process of activating Anis Ben Slimane’s permanent option from #twitterblades. Work ongoing to get it across the line. Fee will be £1.2m. Some reports in Denmark that he will sign a contract until 2028.
English

@ACCIESALAN @scotball_ @The_Young_Team @AboutScotlandd @SheffUnitedWay @HalTheBlade Steady. He is a good prospect, no doubt, but lacks impact at this stage; even in a team that has been top 3 most of the season. Hopefully he can be as good as you think one day. A spell in L1 would be good for him to build confidence.
English

@scotball_ @The_Young_Team @AboutScotlandd @SheffUnitedWay @HalTheBlade Seen a lot about needing a L1 move. Absolute garbage. He’s more than capable of holding his own at the highest level - way higher than sheffield united!!
English

@TortosaExpat There seemed to be an inordinate amount of anticipation about him. Was it an expensive exercise or just because he showed promise?
English

They found him!
Started so promisingly, a goalscoring midfielder (remember that offer from Serie A?) but then one injury after another, Brexit rules dictating his recall and all we saw was a player that looked a long way short of the required level.
A wage off the books.
DPS@TortosaExpat
@FabienKay Nah, the only potential outgoings are surely Brewster (due to his contract), Oñe (due to his potential) Gilchrist (due to his ability) or Coulibaly (if they can find where they put him).
