@fordnation Automakers have made it clear that their priority is increased profit margins at the expense of working folks. They want us to buy Canadian, but they're not willing to meet Canadians where we're at. Using trade restrictions to protect their failing businesses is just sad.

@fordnation If the UAW and the automakers in this country want to make affordable electric vehicles, I will happily buy Canadian. I'm not interested in buying an over-wrought $75,000-150,000 luxury pedestrian-killing truck when a safer $35,000 option is both possible and preferable.

@codexeditor @chrisshank23 No help on new standards, I'm afraid. The Bluesky rich text stuff does formatting-by-standoff (!!) so watch that space, and if you're looking for tools, GitHub.com/condenast/atjs… might be helpful? There's an html-to-annotation parser / generator in there somewhere ☺️

I don't think you're able to give me an estimate, but I would appreciate knowing who to talk to about improving the process behind reporting incidents like these. It's more stressful than an outage, and we'll have more like this as we were heavily affected by the Slocan fires.

Crews have been notified, but finished a job near us about an hour ago and have presumably headed north to deal with the remaining outages in the area in Nakusp. Our issue doesn't show on maps, and we have no estimated time for crews to arrive.

@bchydro we have a tree down across a power line and the only access road to our home. We're currently unable to leave, and have been effectively trapped here for 24 hours. We have power, and the lines are live, so we can't safely clear the tree.

Woo. nethack-vtt lives. Refactored in an event system between the game state and the UI. Basic events are in (add/remove tiles, tile regions, add/remove/move tokens) + camera scrolling. Time to switch to the Rust backend --excuse to write some async rust.
