Pot is far less harmful than alcohol or cigarettes, so it's hard to see that as a bad thing. Yes, I realize it's now based or whatever to prefer smoking and drinking to weed—those are my preferences, too—but come on.

This is a major win for both Alaska and our national security. Rocket Lab's new U.S. Space Force contract includes up to 18 launches, with the majority expected to lift off from the Pacific Spaceport Complex in Kodiak.
For years, I have worked to secure federal investments in the Kodiak spaceport, including $45.5 million through the FY26 appropriations process to expand its launch capabilities.
