It’s with great joy, but also sadness I share two pieces of news to all of the fantastic viewers across the Wabash Valley.
Today is my 2-year work anniversary with WTHI-TV. However, the bittersweet news is, tomorrow will also be my last day working here.
It’s been the joy and pleasure of a lifetime to tell you stories each day the last 2 years since I graduated from Ball State.
During my time here, I’ve been blessed to have reported live on a special report that WTHI received an Emmy for, as well as received 3rd in Indiana for breaking news stories from the Society of Professional Journalists.
To the viewers for tuning in every night, who have greeted me in the grocery store, at ball games, or even heard my voice over the phone and recognized me, thank you, from the bottom of my heart. I’d also like to thank everyone who has trusted me to tell your stories the past couple years. There’s not a single interview of yours I’ve taken for granted.
I’ve grown to fall in love with this community the last couple years, which is why I’m excited to share I will be sticking around for my next endeavor, at least for a little while longer. (Stay tuned)
With that being said, I’ll have some news to share in the coming days, but for now, I’m moving on into a new role that will help me a bit more financially, and give me some more flexibility to take care of some personal things in life that sometimes are difficult in a 24/7 job like news. Don’t misunderstand though, I WILL miss the job and I WILL miss you, the viewers and many of my co-workers.
Do not be afraid to say hello still if you see me out and about!
It’s been one amazing journey here, and I hope you all continue to follow me on as I step out of the TV news spotlight, at least for now. Who knows, a comeback may be sooner than you think!
But for now, I hope you all stick with me for one final story tomorrow at 5:00 and 6:00 pm, with some of the best people I’ve met since being in Terre Haute.
I’ll see you tomorrow night, and in the days and weeks to come in my next chapter of life here in Terre Haute.
Thank you all, this run has truly been the biggest blessing.
Most of all, thank you for being my friend these last two years.
