@ecububba @StephenIgoe There's also a chance that CG and Gautreau have styles that don't mix. That's not a knock on either of their abilities as coaches, but sometimes it's just not the right fit.
I wish Igoe had an opportunity to sit down with Gautreau. Would be interesting to hear his approach.

@ecububba @StephenIgoe It's been discuss on the podcast, but I really think we are overloading our hitters with information. The catcher in CG wants to control the game from every pitch. This might be possible with Elite hitters but our guys seem to struggle being managed in this way.

The reality is they’ve been killed by injuries, and some of your highest-paid players have underperformed.
On top of that, the roster had a few holes coming in that are now even more glaring due to the injuries.
Definitely some things need to be re-evaluated this offseason tho.
