Shohei Ohtani will not pitch on Wednesday and will likely miss more future pitching starts to give his knee more time to recover, per Dave Roberts. Roberts: “It’s gonna be some time, and I'd say that it's not gonna be a day-to-day thing." (Via @SonjaMChen)
Will Smith’s neck continued to bother him as he tried ramping up baseball activities recently, so Dodgers decided to shut him down again this week, Dave Roberts said Not great, obv, but they’re hopeful he can begin ramping up again after this & still expect him back this year
Shohei Ohtani will not make his scheduled start on the mound this evening against the D-backs due to continued irritation in his left knee. He will serve as the designated hitter the rest of the weekend, but following the series against the D-backs he will have some interventions on his knee to put him in the best position for the second half of the season. Unfortunately, due to these events, he will not be able to travel to Philadelphia and participate in the 2026 All-Star Game.
