A Frontier Airlines flight bound for LAX hit a person on the runway during takeoff from Denver International Airport on Friday.
The Airbus A321 was taking off from runway 17L when it appeared to strike an individual walking on the runway. The pilot quickly aborted the takeoff.
Passengers were evacuated on the runway and are being bused back to the terminal. Fire crews were dispatched to the aircraft to extinguish the engine fire.
Authorities have not yet released additional information about the person on the runway or the circumstances that led to the incident.
