Start your engines! Students at Ashley Academy in Winston Salem, NC learned about Wendell Scott and @Mindless_BMD for our Black History month project. Our building collaborated together to give them a great experience. @wsfcs

@stacymcanulty These are 4 books that our 4-5 grade students can choose to read in the Bookclub at Ashley Elementary in Winston Salem, NC. The great thing is that we are going to have to buy more copies of your book.

Last week I was with the TOY for our district and the Interim Chancellor of WSSU @DrAntGraham . This week I was able to meet @PrincipalKafele . I am so grateful for @wsfcs for pouring into their staff with all this great knowledge and expertise. @WSFCSSEL

I love meeting authors and getting my books signed. I was able to meet Sheila Turnage. She was super sweet.

Open House and Kindergarten Orientation was a success! Great to see all the kids running to hug Ms.Gatling the principal and saying they missed her. She truly builds relationships with her family. @AshleyAcademy is already doing SEL @WSFCSSEL

As an educator it made me proud and sad. Proud to know that a student took the initiative to learn more. Sad that they did not connect his passion of learning science.@PrincipalKafele says you need to learn and connect with your students.I bought his book.

I finished the book while on the plane. @thebestjasmine It was amazing! I was hooked from the very first page. I need more.
