Was he going upstairs to arm himself? A person is cooperative or they are not. A person is fighting if or they are not. There is no such thing as half pregnant. If the plan was to arrest him, why not wait till you have a partner? In law enforcement there are driving forces . What was driving the need to place him in custody when she was by herself?

This female officer had the opportunity to de-escalate and wait for backup, the male was emotionally distressed and needed some space, there was no imminent threat so why did she feel the need to put hands on him and push this guy over the edge? This is a 40 something year old man living with his mother because she has never said no to him and this is the result

Charlie Kirk was very intelligent. I loved his approach. It worked for me. I learned quite a bit listening to his discourse with the many people he engaged with. His Assassination is unacceptable. It should have never happened. It’s hard to do what he did to the scale he was operating at. The way it all started, The comfy, small, “Town Hall” feel that produced breakthroughs for people, and legitimately changed lives, evolved into a mass produced “show piece” where a persons ignorance was on full display for the whole world to see. I blame the media. That display once captured became eternal in the digital world. Play after play, reel after reel, a persons two way with Charlie, where in most cases, they looked/sounded stupid, was available for amusement and gain. A persons interaction was “preserved” and by virtue of that capture potentially would be relived forever. If I had to offer an analog, I would offer up the character of Ray Finkle who became Lois Einhorn in Order to exact revenge in a very protracted way. The Super Bowl lose due to a missed kick became the fuel to the fire that never was allowed to burn out for Ray. A loss so great, and so public, there was nowhere in the world to hide. This sort of situation creates real monsters. People become better through conflict. Charlies debates with people were productive and people took things away from interactions with him I am certain, but there are souls out there so lost, so broken-fragile, they require a much more discreet, private forum to discuss things. The person who comes from a background where correction is a misunderstood piece, have to be taught in a way how to accept it. Some people due, IMHO, to the way they are raised, or not raised, deal with the world in a very isolated way. If not taught how to deal with life and all the emotions we as humans feel, we are left to our own devices to learn, and feel things: development stalls or stops for some of us.

Some good news this week that didn’t get much attention. California passed SB627 which means no officer can hid behind a mask anymore. Important to note that this applies for not just state law enforcement, but federal law enforcement too.
