@KySportsRadio @DrewFranklinKSR @ShannonTheDude the term "reckon" is used in certain parts of the UK pretty commonly. Its used the same way we use it in the mountains/south. Bear Grylls used it all the time on his Man vs Wild show. "I reckon if I can climb down there..."

@KySportsRadio @ryanlemond @ShannonTheDude since when has UK cared about PR? We've LITERALLY been talking about how awful they are at it for years 😂 if I was 2 years from retirement, my boss couldn't tell me who to hire without me shouting it from the rooftops. Have some stones

@bigblueinsider1 No, you can sign Non-rev share with multiple schools. You can then get out of it. Its the Rev-share that actually locks you in.

Sincere Q: If stokes signed his non-rev share paperwork with Kansas the same week he visited UK, doesn't that mean he wasn't being straight with Pope and his staff? Curious...

@larrygloverlive isn't UF like the 3rd largest public university? I know their enrollment is like 1.6X higher than UK so I imagine that's a big factor in lowering the cost of tuition

@JDrumUK Would be pretty difficult to exclude guys who still have eligibility remaining. Not sure you'd win that in court. Honestly though, if you just make it a flat 5 years with no exceptions, it would end redshirts. 5 years to play 5 seasons starting at game 1 with you on the roster.

I’m a DA fan after covering him this season, but the NCAA already made a similar mistake coming out of Covid. Just start the new 5-year window for incoming freshmen whenever it begins. Don’t complicate this.

NEW: The NCAA is exploring a 5-year eligibility window that could go into affect this summer. But the question of grandfathering in athletes that just completed their 4th year leaves players and coaches in limbo🤔 (via @RossDellenger) Details: on3.com/news/ncaa-pend…

@BigRobs88 @KySportsRadio Because it gives the team real game experience together before the season starts. Almost every UK team that had a summer "foreign tour" ended up with a pretty successful season.

@KySportsRadio The last thing Kentucky needs is a foreign tour. Who gives a fuck. They need a coach and a staff and players that can actually both play and win. We have none of that. So why do we care about a foreign tour??

@KySportsRadio so you're saying the tax we pay 10 fold for public services entitles us to nothing? If that is true, why doesn't everyone just refuse to pay taxes for things that aren't guaranteed?

@KySportsRadio @DrewFranklinKSR @ryanlemond Also, Jelavic shot 68% from 2 while Moreno shot 59% from 2. Almost every stat projected over 40 mins is the same between them. Well Moreno averaged about 1 block more per game. I like them both, but they are equals in terms of stats

@KySportsRadio @DrewFranklinKSR @ryanlemond just some context, Jelavic averaged 4RPG, Moreno 6.3. Over 40 mins thats 10.25 and 11.15. If Jelavic is a terrible rebounder, Moreno is as well. In fact, their statline is almost identical when projected to 40 mins accept 3pts made

@KySportsRadio So a guy like Chandler would lose years of eligibility because of a 2 year religious mission? No chance that would hold up in court. Your 5 year clock shouldn't start until your first game. It would also keep guys with minor injuries from sitting to keep a year of eligibility.

NCAA considering giving everyone 5 years of eligibility May seem odd on surface but it would make it easier for NCAA to see one uniform rule with no exceptions that would hold up in court
Ross Dellenger@RossDellenger

The NCAA is exploring a significant change to its eligibility rule, sources tell @YahooSports. The proposal creates an age-based standard: Athletes would have 5 years of eligibility from their 19th birthday or HS graduation. No redshirts or waivers. bit.ly/3POqo2D

@larrygloverlive with all I've read, heard, and researched, the issue with the JMI deal is they discourage NIL deals with companies outside of their partners. This has been reported by several recruits and also several agents. This makes it hard to land the Superstar guys

@KyleTuckerCBB You gonna try to tell us that UK didn't put any feelers out there to gauge his interest that time yet he was at the top of the list every other time? Why the hell would he go back to college with the shit show that exists in recruiting currently? It ain't worth it to old guys

If Billy Donovan takes another blueblood gig this cycle, Kentucky fans might storm Mitch Barnhart’s office. The timing works better for Billy D to have those conversations this year than two years ago, but he would’ve listened then if UK was willing to wait.

@AdotWhite They should have hired him last year. He'd have finished his career at UK, but you have idiots like Mitch making decisions with ZERO oversight or accountability.
