when Hailey Bieber was asked on her 2019 vogue cover story how she and Justin Bieber started dating and this was what she had to say: Interviewer: I know you and Justin used to be friends when you were kids, so how did you two decide you should be lovers instead? Hailey: everything started when we first met back in 2009 when I was 12… my dad brought me to the Today Show where Justin was performing and introduced us backstage. It was super casual, just kids hanging out. My dad always worked to keep us connected as friends, even making sure I attended the same church he was going to. years later, one day Justin walked into Hillsong church, he saw me and was like, “Hey, you got older.” I was like, “Yeah, what’s up?” Over time he became my best guy friend. I was running around with him as his homie, but we weren’t hanging out romantically. Then in June 2018 we ended up at this church conference together in Miami. I was like, “Listen, I’m really, really happy for us to be friends again.
