Most cities don't have compost programs because they are expensive to run and hard to start. Block Bins fix both of these issues.

One problem that makes curbside compost programs hard to start and maintain is the value of the material picked up is less than the cost to pick it up. We solve this problem by creating shared-bins. By picking up from many people at once, the program is more affordable for all.

We built Block Bins because compost programs are hard to start and run sustainably. We got impatient waiting for others to figure this out, so we developed a collection strategy to overcome the difficulties.

Starting compost & recycling programs doesn't have to be difficult anymore. We let individuals request the services they need on our website, which allows us to start programs anywhere when we have sufficient interest.

We work every day to answer the question: "What's the best way to compost and recycle in cities?"
