Here’s my take on @LucaNetz meeting since I hadn’t shared it yet. Luca brought NFT founders together and gave real advice on how to lead and manage collections. From my perspective it was a strong initiative because the conversation touched on things a lot of founders need right now: monetization, marketing, community, expectations and leadership. For the people asking what happened with @illaDaProducer here’s the context. Someone brought up the tweet one of Yuga’s employees made about two other individuals and my take was simple: don’t throw stones at someone else’s house when your own house is made of glass. I had a heated moment with illa because everyone knows Yuga made mistakes in the past. A lot of people still feel like they got rugged especially on the gaming side of the ecosystem. That hurt pushed a lot of people out of NFTs and some of them never wanted to come back. But at the end of the day I see Yuga as the Harvey Dent of The Dark Knight. We all know Harvey wasn’t perfect. We all know how broken he became. But Batman still took the heat because Gotham needed a symbol. Gotham needed someone people could believe in and Batman knew he wasn’t the right person for that role. In a weird way the NFT space needs its Harvey Dent. It needs a symbol people can believe in again. Yuga made mistakes but they still have one of the biggest stages in Web3. Whether people like it or not they have the platform, resources and responsibility to help rebuild trust. And if they choose to lead the right way they can help bring belief back to NFTs. This space doesn’t need more division. It needs accountability, leadership, and a reason to believe again.

How do you explain to people that you could just be chilling on a Saturday night and somebody decides to send you a JPG worth $20,000 for simply existing in the industry

there are only 46 gold apes and at this point, it’s very difficult to find an off-market seller willing trade the lowest listed gold ape is 199 eth ($460k) which is effectively double before @GrailsOTC started 3 weeks ago bids are rising but sellers are not budging digital assets like these have rotated into significantly more diamondhanded positions for gold apes, not only are sellers not budging they pretty much don’t exist we are still working through trippies, 4Ts, blacksuits, admirals coats, kings robes, pimp coats, etc but overall our goal has been to help facilitate even more off-market inventory rotating into strong collectors subjective trait-based requests are being facilitated completionists are trading for full sets minimalists are trading for clean apes aesthetics are in control this is important work because it applies momentum to a quality that is hard to quantify: collector strength paired with our progress on IRL events, I firmly believe the sustained pressure we are applying will yield the results everyone is after - a strong Club on a related note, while the bayc website is deliberately minimal and opaque to the public, we are experimenting with a deeper experience in the members section there are also other strategies, which i will go over this week, that I believe to be under engaged, but full of potential for the bored ape yacht club

Just landed this incredibly clean Ape that I was sick about missing when it got swept off the floor recently. Funny how it played out—the owner ended up reaching out to me about trading some other Apes he had at the beginning of today. I passed on the trade… but then quickly followed up with, “what about your PFP?” thinking he’d say no… Well… we went back and forth all morning—and got it done. Huge thank you for the smooth trade @sher13z 🤝 You reaching out couldn’t have been more of a sign that I needed this! Excited to see what you build in the future with what we talked about 👀 Also—big shoutout to @gondixyz. Their UX for trades is elite. Super easy to navigate. And appreciate @tyguyot for double-checking I did everything right.
