In our joint paper, we highlight four priorities: 1⃣Exclude end-to-end encrypted communications from detection obligations. 2⃣Prohibit client-side scanning and equivalent backdoors. 3⃣Limit detection to non-encrypted contexts, with judicial authorisation. 4⃣Ensure consistency with EU cybersecurity and digital identity frameworks.

🔐 Protect kids online? Yes. 🚫 Break #encryption for everyone? Absolutely not. Protecting children online is vital, but the CSA Regulation suggests doing it the wrong way: by scanning all private messages.
