While we're at it, a few more corrections for your comparison chart. Jade supports all of the following, but your table shows otherwise: Duress/decoy PIN - supported BIP-85 seeds - supported Temporary seeds - supported Custom derivation paths - supported. This isn't a prominent toggle in our UI, but Jade works with any custom derivation path when set up through Sparrow or similar wallet software BIP-174 (PSBT) - supported Taproot - supported Appreciate your help!

Q2 was Blockstream moving from research to release. @blksresearch took post-quantum Bitcoin from a live deployment on @Liquid_BTC to OP_CHECKSHRINCS, a signature opcode the whole network can evaluate. @BlockstreamJade became a three-model lineup, with the new Jade Core turning self-custody into a five-minute move off an exchange. Liquid published a roadmap that puts 0-conf and a trust-minimized bridge on the calendar. @Core_LN strengthened node architecture with bwatch, while the Explorer API kept blockchain data fast and dependable at enterprise scale. Supply chain attacks are real. Before you use a new Bitcoin hardware wallet, check the tamper-evident seal, then run a genuine check (if it has one). Jade performs a cryptographic handshake with Blockstream to confirm it's running genuine firmware. Verify first, full send self-custody second.

@GrassFedBitcoin @JoeNakamoto When was this? Will help investigate. USB issues might have been bad cable from earlier rounds of Jade.

All politics aside, the Jade is a very bad product, I was unable to get things to work consistently on it. - Extremely fussy about USB cables and ports. Things fail for seemingly unrelated reasons until you get a USB cable it's happy with. - Using a powered hub instead of connecting direct - same issue. Throws errors that look completely unrelated. - I compiled the source code from scratch and it doesn't match any of the available hashes offered by Blockstream. It also doesn't say what algo they used to hash their downloadable binaries meaning I had to try all the obvious ones, not just SHA256. It's possible the build process is just not deterministic but it doesn't say anywhere whether that's the case or not. It obviously should be of course. Back then I was on good terms with @notgrubles and @adam3us and asked them for advice - neither responded. - Proceeding and flashing what I compiled broke something further on the Jade making it now show up as two connected devices instead of one with only one being (inconsistently) usable again without any apparent reason. There are perhaps perfectly good reasons for at least some of these issues but they are the kind of thing that gets ironed out in testing/QA in order to make the product usable that has obviously never been done.

While others disparage competitor hardware wallets as their main marketing tactic, @Blockstream just wants you to withdraw your bitcoin from exchanges. Use Jade or other hardware wallets. In a pinch, use a software wallet. One team.
