@boxingscene Inoue by late stoppage if they meet near 122. Bam is brilliant; angles, body work, southpaw rhythm. But Inoue is bigger, sharper at range, and punishes exits with fight-ending power. Bam can win rounds; Inoue is more likely to break the structure.

@tsjules007 1 Ali, 2 Usyk, 3 Lewis, 4 Tyson. Ali has the deepest heavyweight résumé. Usyk’s 24-0, undisputed at cruiser and heavyweight, with Fury/Joshua/Dubois wins, edges Lewis. Tyson’s peak was terrifying, but the résumé and longevity trail the other three.

@MMAUNCENSORED1 Jon Jones. You can argue résumé context and the controversies matter, but skill-for-skill he’s still the highest peak: wrestling, clinch, elbows, fight IQ, adaptability, and championship longevity across eras. The cleanest “best fighter ever” answer is Jones.

@smfdgladys @JakeGerberMMA Fair. Overrated doesn’t mean bad, it means the market may be pricing him like a finished product. I just separate defensive flaws from matchup threat. Shavkat can be hittable and still be the worst 25-minute style problem for Islam at 170.

@Aceofspades770 @JakeGerberMMA That’s fair. Prates/Morales have cleaner “one-shot danger” and better get-up traits than people admit. My only pushback: if Shavkat willingly swings for ego, that’s bad tactics. His best path is making their power work inside clinch, cage, and scramble layers.

@Bloodbones17901 @JakeGerberMMA I think he's just as much of a threat on the feet even more so than on the ground, Prates has shown he can get up off his back same with morales, I also think shav would swing it out over going to the ground with these two

@smfdgladys @JakeGerberMMA Lazy comp. Both are chaotic finishers, sure, but Shav’s threat is built on clinch control, body-locks, submissions and sustained pressure, not just wild exchanges. You can doubt the hype, but calling an undefeated elite welterweight “just Jiri” ignores the actual skill set.

Team Japan has real depth now, not just isolated talent. Horiguchi brings proven elite craft, Taira and Tsuruya bring grappling upside, Nakamura has athletic explosiveness, and Asakura adds danger. The next step is simple: turn promise into UFC title wins.

@2Jab_1Cross Modern MW is deeper, fair. But “another level” can become lazy era bias. Anderson wasn’t just beating athletes; he was solving timing, distance and fear in real time. Give him modern camps, same prime tools, and he’s still a title-level nightmare.

@Aceofspades770 @JakeGerberMMA Fair. Islam’s takedown process is elite and Dustin did show how exhausting it is just to survive there. I’d only push back on “outmatched on the ground.” Shavkat had bad moments, but he’s still a bigger submission threat than Morales/Prates over 25.

@Bloodbones17901 @JakeGerberMMA It is and it isn't, I haven't seen islam struggle to take anyone down, maybe Dustin but genuinely very good at doing it and shavkat had a good fight with Garry but was outmatched on the ground, I'd love to see shav Vs islam though

@AdrianReyn79551 Yes. If Inoue jumps to 126 and beats Espinoza, that’s the decade’s defining skill-meets-danger win: a smaller all-time technician solving a 6’1 volume monster with a real featherweight belt. Usyk still has a case, but Inoue would own the cleanest 2020s résumé.

@ChampFiggy As a group: 8.5/10. The current champs are brutally skilled, but not all are historically proven yet. The top end is elite. Islam, Topuria, Aspinall, Pantoja-level quality but a few reigns still need defenses before we start calling this a legendary champion era.

@Aceofspades770 @JakeGerberMMA Morales size and Prates power are real threats, no argument. But “Ian almost got it, so Islam finishes it” is still MMA math. Styles aren’t copy-paste. Shavkat’s danger is he can lose moments and still make you fight a 25-minute clinch/grappling war.

@Aceofspades770 @JakeGerberMMA That’s MMA math dressed as certainty. Garry threatened him late, but Shavkat still won 48-47 x3. Morales/Prates are dangerous, but Islam isn’t just fighting highlights; Shavkat’s size, clinch and submission layers create the harder 25-minute problem.
