[News] Publication of 'Music-Based Social Skills Therapy' Manual Co-authored by BTS SUGA The music-based social skills therapy manual "MIND Program," co-authored by BTS member Suga (real name Min Yoongi), who is preparing for a comeback performance on the 21st, was published on the 17th. According to Severance Hospital, the MIND program is a clinical manual for a music-based social skills training program for children and adolescents with autism spectrum disorder. The hospital explained that unlike existing social skills training programs, which were designed based on language comprehension and cognitive abilities and were difficult to apply to children with lower developmental levels, the MIND Program allowed children to expand their interactions through musical activities. The MIND Program consists of a total of 12 sessions. It begins with basic interaction experiences and gradually expands through emotion recognition and information exchange to the execution of joint music projects. Suga has been collaborating with Professor Cheon Geun-ah of Severance Hospital, an authority in child and adolescent psychiatry, since the fall of 2024. Following Suga's generous donation of 5 billion won, the 'Min Yoongi Treatment Center' at Severance Hospital opened last September, with Professor Chun serving as its inaugural director to begin operating the Mind Program in earnest. According to the hospital, Suga shared ideas from the planning stage and even personally participated as a volunteer music instructor in the pilot program. In the preface to the manual, Professor Cheon, the lead author of the book, stated, "This book cannot be discussed without mentioning Mr. Min Yoongi, and his contribution was decisive in making the program a reality." He added, "I hope that through this manual, domestic and international experts and therapists can share the program's philosophy and specific procedures and utilize them in actual clinical practice."

"The 'Min Yoongi Treatment Center' opened last year with a 5 Billion won donation from BTS member SUGA (real name Min Yoongi). The center provides integrated language, psychological and behavioral therapy for children and ad olescents with autism spectrum disorder (ASD). This program has established itself as an innovative model that helps children with developmental disabilities become independent by enhancing their emotional expression and interaction skilIs through music.
