I see the witch hunt against the Wetherspoons manager is ongoing, despite their statement that he was doing what he should have been doing - his job.

Lets clear up the Braintree Wetherspoons controversy. The original poster of the video has deleted it. Turns out the Reform supporters parked their bus in the pub loading bay & were filming around the pub. The bar manager did his job so actually deserves time off with a pay rise

As such entry can be refused on any grounds so long as it is not discrimitory. In this case, in my opinion, the young lad should have served them but had every right not to do so

A pub is public place as anyone can enter. The moment that happens equality laws and human rights laws kick in. A pub is no longer the front room of the pub landlord as it was in the past. They are now commercial enterprises and no different to a shop. No business can refuse service for no reason. And if a reason is given, such as a shop banning groups of school kids, it must be backed up with lawful reasoning as to why that policy exists.
