This is a weird place contingent on a VERY unpredictable algorithm that seems to expand and contract as it is useful for those with lots of money. It's a feature.
Reddit's algorithm is predictably tuned. Tiktok is also dialed in.

I think it is comical that it has taken me a year to get 1000 followers on X. Meanwhile, I have accrued almost 20k karma and helped build a long-term community on Reddit during the exact same period while building a @pudgypenguins community there.
