@hellojamesweir I hope you caught Ollie's mad decanting skills going on in the background as we had the dramatic splicing of the piece to camera with background dinner party footage?

@i8nastyman Ha, I can do that with the physical version for a day, but then I'd like to learn new things. Maybe some of my work will be of interest to more than the 20 people at a poster session...

@BlueDogDays Use them to line the walls of your office/bunker to remind you of the halcyon days of being involved in glorious pursuits of knowledge?

@Kylie_Walker1 hoping to use quotes from you from "Preparing to meet a parliamentarian" at Science Meets Parliament. I have to write a report. If you agree with the general idea, how can we proceed please?

@AlainGoriely A riot of ratios A monotony of manifolds A sect of special functions A trial of theorems A puddle of proofs Need to get away from alliterations, perhaps.

Math would be even more fun if, as in biology, the collective noun for the elements of a set depends on the element: A nest of naturals A flock of Fibonacci # A rabble of rationals A shrewdness of sets A raft of reals A mob of matrices A drove of determinants Suggestions?

Up to 45 now... Some really great talks; Jason Whyte uses an especially beautiful and well-constructed Maple document, to give just one example

@theosysbio As this is of general interest to me, how did you search? A "topic search" of titles, abstracts, and keywords in Web of Science (core collection, all years, TS=("model invalidation")) has 54 hits, but this has no restriction to topics mathematical. How would you restrict further?

Genuinely puzzled by results of literature search: 6 hits for “model invalidation” vs 1000s of hits for “model validation”. And the 6 invalidation ones I’d already read.🤔
