In this sequel to The Prisoner of Al-Hakim, Alhasan Ibn al-Haytham—mathematician, astronomer, and physicist of the Islamic Golden Age—continues his lifelong pursuit of knowledge, embarking on a daring journey with a new purpose. What begins with his curiosity about the green streaks that light up the sky leads him to The Empty Quarter in search of the fabled Crystal Oasis. Guided by Qur’anic verses and his relentless curiosity, Alhasan believes the site may hold the remnants of a fallen star. While Alhasan chases after celestial mysteries and seeks the iron hidden in the earth, Sadeem, his newlywed wife, undertakes a journey of her own. Summoned by Governor Jalal al-Dawla, she introduces him to her husband’s groundbreaking discoveries about light and vision. The Empty Quarter takes readers on two parallel adventures—one into the vast desert sands, the other into the halls of power. Both are filled with challenges, revelations, and the unyielding spirit of discovery that defined one of history’s greatest scientific minds. bluedomepress.com/product/2616/

Dr. Parrillo and Dr. Ansari present a cross-cultural study of Hizmet schools in seven countries of varying histories and ethnic compositions. Some are fairly homogeneous, while others are longstanding multicultural, multiracial societies. Some have Muslim-majority populations, others a small Muslim minority. bluedomepress.com/product/hearts…

It is with a heavy heart that we've learned the passing of one of our authors, Fr. Thomas Michel (November 24, 2025). Fr. Michel, a Jesuit priest and scholar, was a tireless advocate for interfaith dialogue.  A life devoted to building bridges between Muslims and Christians, his journey took him from the Vatican to Southeast Asia, from Turkish universities to the hearts of all who met him. Through education, humility, and sincere friendship, he showed what peace in action looks like. May his legacy continue to guide all who strive for understanding, unity, and compassion. bluedomepress.com/product/peace-…

Peace and Dialogue in a Plural Society by Thomas Michel In a world that is too often seen as a “clash of civilizations,” some believe there is another way—a path that involves engagement, dialogue, and respect. In Thomas Michel’s new book, Peace and Dialogue in a Plural Society, he explores how Fethullah Gulen is one of those speaking most vocally in favor of a world community, where different faiths and nations can come together at one table to solve the multitude of problems facing today’s world. Exploring the spiritual roots of Gulen and the Hizmet Movement, as well as drawing parallels between his own work as a Catholic priest, Michel shows how Hizmet has helped build a blueprint for intercultural communication in a time when too many voices are trying to stoke the fires of discord. Through education, dialogue, and a respect for basic human dignity, Michel finds a foundation in Gulen’s faith and Hizmet’s service upon which a healthy, diverse society can be built.

The Ultimatum: Does the Qur’an Command Killing Non-Muslims? Certain verses in the Qur’an and traditions of Prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him, are abused by extremists to legitimize their acts of terrorism and violence. In the light of the context of revelation and the universal purposes of Islamic message, this book aims to explain certain verses (Al-Baqarah 2:190-195, At-Tawbah 9:1-24, An-Nisa 4:88-89) and a particular hadith of Prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him, which are intensely debated and abused. bluedomepress.com/product/the-ul…
