“What’s the point of 3D graphics without 3D physics?” That’s the question me & @luanpotter27 kept asking ourselves. So... we are building a whole new set of packages to bring 3D physics into the Flutter💙 & Flame🔥 ecosystem! PS: keep an eye on the Flame Engine's GitHub 👀

A PR was just merged that unpins all (except one minor) Flutter dependencies! 😍 No more dependency hells when upgrading minor/patch versions of collection, meta, vector_math, intl, path etc in your apps and packages. 🥳

Split screen 3D games natively in Flutter? No problem for Flame3D! With the same API that you already know and love from Flame🔥 Maybe I should submit a talk to @FlutterNFriends on how we have made all of this possible and teach others how they can build their own 3D games

I'm not choosing Flutter and Flame because I think they're superior in any way. It's the other way around. Problem is I have almost no time for learning a new language and a completely new platform and type of software. For me the question becomes "is the technology I know well good enough to do this?". If the answer is yes, I'm more than happy to try. Then if game development is something I really want to get serious about, I'll absolutely jump into Unity / Unreal Engine or better engines in general. I was also considering Bevy, a Rust engine. But that is for when I have better knowledge in Rust and game dev.

Would Flutter Flame by @BlueFireOSS be enough (performance wise) for creating an indie game like Hollow Night Silksong or am I just dreaming?
