@JamarVip I think schools should only be able to take 3 transfers a year. More focus on retention and high school kids. Would cut down a lot the opportunities to leave.

With Solo Ball out for the season, it means UConn's starting five is very much set 1- Silas Demary 2- Braylon Mullins 3- Jayden Ross 4 - Nik Khamenia 5 - Najai Hines And depth is very much an issue. Colben Landrew will play a big role. And portal season is *just beginning*

UConn Dynasty 🖐🏾☝🏽
If everybody come back and Nikolas commits all UConn need is another big man I believe Junior County can play the backup point guard I fear if another guard is bought in we can see a Darius Adams repeat

@golfingpanti You should really be mad at seton hall for not investing in basketball. Hines was leaving regardless. May as well go somewhere where you can win

🚨 IMPORTANT PANTILONES OPINION 🚨 I am still digesting the Hines to UConn transfer, and it really leaves an awful taste in my mouth for many reasons. It has also permanently changed my opinion towards the UConn program. Let me explain:

@JeffEisenberg Here's what you're not mentioning. 2027 is a weak draft class. He can improve and get drafted a lot higher which will equate to more playing time and money

Here's what Hurley isn't mentioning here: First-round draft picks who return to school could cost themselves long term by pushing their NBA clock back by a year and delaying their potentially lucrative second contract. x.com/MarieLizLeBrun…

Dan Hurley on @dpshow: "What I’ll tell Braylon and his family is, 'Do you like college?' Some are in a rush to get to the NBA because they don’t like being in a college program. [...]The world has changed. There’s not this pressure to go to the NBA because of the money situation. Players like Braylon probably make more money at UConn next year than he would if he was the 15th pick."

Dan Hurley would make this kid an absolute monster and I think he and Reibe would balance each other out well. Would love to see UConn enter the mix

Still buzzing from Sunday. @Matt_Zamp and I drafted the top moments from UConn-Duke, aside from Mullins’ shot. Our list:

how the fuck did uconn football catch a stray out of all of this? the story should be how succesful they have been in spite of the revenue differences and how they just poached a coach that was a candidate for multiple p4 jobs. this is just insane
Ross Dellenger@RossDellenger

While UConn’s two Final Four basketball teams earn millions, its football program is in a financial fight. The Huskies earn the lowest CFP distribution of all full-time FBS members. More on UConn’s football plight in our weekly @On3 sports biz column -  bit.ly/4bWEDcY

Last year, UConn spent more than $34 million on its men’s and women’s basketball teams. So, where exactly did that $34 million go? And beyond all the winning, how much is coming back into the athletic department because of these two elite programs?

@hblethh__ 🙋‍♂️ even if Ball starts hitting shots Ross impacts winning the game more. The defense, the 50/50 balls, the extra pass, and hustle plays. But, ball can help the team by being the scorer off the bench if gets his shot back

@marcdamelio The only professional team CT could support is the NFL. It's a lot easier to fill a stadium for 8 homes games compared to 41 for the NBA.

@GmingClipz Idk, we just made the excuse when Reed and Mullins were out vs Arizona. We have to acknowledge it makes a difference. But, also acknowledge that we played them without castle and a hobbled cam

I think Kansas fans are putting too much stock into how much Peterson would impact this game. Don't think it makes much difference. We're better. And don't let them use the injury excuse. Last time we went to Phog Allen, Cam Spencer couldn't move and Steph Castle was out entirely
