I don’t understand why Man City’s 30 fans are mad at him. You are literally Man city, you are an irrelevant club in the grand scheme of things. @StevenMcinerney Our fanbase is full of spoiled & entitled people. I don’t see anything wrong with what Rodri said. He’s past his prime and wants to be in his home country playing for the best club in Spain.

I guess personally I'm not that bothered by the idea of Rodri leaving, it was inevitable, but I think it's just a little disappointing how it may happen. I think a lot of us hoped he'd end up in that Vinnie/Silva type category where it all ended so gracefully, with no public chat about other clubs and nothing other than a lot of love outwardly for City. That feels unlikely now. I don't doubt that Rodri is happy here and cares about City, but speaking so publicly about another club does make it feel different to those other guys. It's business for him. That's okay. But football is emotional, and it's understandable that the connection will be diluted somewhat given the club he's talking about and all the context around it.
