Can any journalist in the WH ask VP Vance: Article 13 in the MOU says the 60 day negotiations don’t begin until Iran has already started receiving its unfrozen assets under Article 11. So the money starts moving before the clock does. If Iran doesn’t negotiate in good faith once that begins, what leverage does the U.S. have left?

@BlueReaper70234 @Schroomdart @Osint613 Hezbollah was supposed to withdraw north of the litani for 20 years. There is a whole un peacekeepers group designed to uphold that treaty. Article 1701 was ignored by hezbollah, and the un largely ran cover for them.

FACT CHECKING JD VANCE: JD Vance accused Israeli cabinet members of personally attacking President Trump and warned them to be careful, telling them that Israel relies heavily on American military support. I went looking for the alleged ‘personal attacks’ on President Trump: National Security Minister Itamar Ben Gvir said Israel “is not a banana republic” and that the agreement “does not bind us in any way.” Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich called the deal “bad for Israel and for the entire free world” and warned Israel may have to continue confronting Iran alone. Defense Minister Israel Katz stated that Israeli forces would remain in southern Lebanon, Syria, and Gaza. I could not find any cabinet minister personally attacking President Trump. JD appears to have just made that up.

There are many options to go about this than through occupation where front lines can become no man’s land. People die in war and to use that as an excuse to continue it is madness.

NOW: Vance says he is troubled by Israeli ministers publicly attacking the deal and, in some cases, personally criticizing President Trump. His message: Trump is currently the only world leader with significant influence who is strongly backing Israel, and he happens to lead the world’s most powerful country. Publicly attacking that ally may not be wise. He also said that over the past 3 months, roughly two-thirds of the defensive weapons protecting Israel were built in the United States and funded by American taxpayers. Vance added that Netanyahu has largely avoided this rhetoric, but argued that Israeli officials who view Trump as Israel’s main problem are ignoring the reality of the country’s strategic position and dependence on U.S. support.
