@CRSImages Back when I was pro and selling my images and frequently being ripped off (as far back as 1985) it seemed necessary ... Most of my "pure" images reside on an old, problematic computer or on memory cards, which I save and never delete from ...

Sorry for the horrid watermark (didn't have ability to do properly) & poor quality of the scan. This is from 1985 --Praktica MTL5 SLR manual camera --Pentacon 50mm lens on extension bellows --Kodak Panatomic-X - 25asa B&W film There's just something about this image that hits me.

Not sure if I'm correct or not, or if it's even apparent in my photographic technique, but I think I take photos that are not that much like the "panoramic" image that is so very popular, but show more personal details of my subjects, down to the color of their eyelashes ...

"I don't want my picture in any cigarettes, but I also don't want you to lose the ten dollars, so I'm enclosing my check for that sum. Tobacco may shorten a man’s life and interfere with his baseball career, but I guess it hasn’t shortened mine a great deal. I have noticed that where a player starts to quit hitting, it will shorten his career a good deal quicker than tobacco. There ain't much to being a ballplayer, if you're a ballplayer." Honus Wagner. "Honus Wagner was the greatest athlete in baseball. Acknowledging that there may have been one or two whose talents were greater, there is no one who has ever played this game that I would be more anxious to have on a baseball team. The difference between the number one shortstop, all time, Wagner and the number two shortstop, whoever it is, is about the same as the distance between the number two shortstop and the number 30 shortstop. Honus Wagner was a gentle, kind man, a storyteller, supportive of rookies, patient with the fans, cheerful in hard times, careful of the example he set for youth, a hard worker. He was the most beloved man in baseball before Ruth." Bill James. Honus Wagner still ranks in the top 10 all-time, in hits, singles, doubles, triples and stolen bases. Honus Wagner hit an astonishing 20 triples at age 38 and 17 triples at age 41.

U.S. Marine Corps Private First Class Luther Skaggs, Jr. of Henderson, Kentucky was awarded the Medal of Honor for his extraordinary actions on July 21, 1944, on Guam. On the night of July 21, 1944, Skaggs, a squad leader with a weapon section in the 3rd Marine Division, was critically wounded when a Japanese grenade exploded in his foxhole on the Asan-Adelup beachhead on Guam. Instead of calling a corpsman and revealing his outfit’s position, he applied a tourniquet to his injured leg and continued to return fire for eight hours. Only when the Japanese in the area had been killed did he seek medical attention, but he lost his leg due to the wound. He was promoted to corporal upon being honorably discharged from active service in the Marine Corps on April 4, 1946 For his actions on July 21, 1944, he was awarded with the Medal of Honor on June 15, 1945. Luther Skaggs, Jr. died on April 6, 1976, and was buried in Arlington National Cemetery with full military honors. #WeRememberThem

“As long as I live, I'll hear waterfalls and birds and winds sing. I'll interpret the rocks, learn the language of flood, storm, and the avalanche. I'll acquaint myself with the glaciers and wild gardens, and get as near the heart of the world as I can".” ― John Muir
