Can confirm Pokopia is a hit for Nintendo (& Koei Tecmo + Game Freak) Sold out at retail (retailers underestimated demand), record digital sales uptake, visible boost to Switch 2 hardware sales at retailers. Looks like the system seller they needed in H1 2026.

@Blue_Legendary @carygolomb it's not, i think he was just saying that charging $10 over retail is not the play Amazon thinks it is since most collectors are not fans of key cards so the usual craze over obtaining a physical copy isn't strong enough to justify trying to scalp it.

Just FYI, looking over sold listings on eBay, you can actually get unopened Pokopia for less than $70
There is no FOMO for key card games and no collector cares or wants these physical games
They are generally worthless to collectors, as such resellers are getting burned
