Honestly, #Kafeel made me happy and sad at the same time. Happy that Umera Ahmed highlighted that marriages don’t necessarily have to dissolve because of abuse or cheating but because of so many other responsibilities that men must heed to. Sad that Umera chose a cautionary tale like Zeba’s who had children who were ready to fight for her to get the divorce. Some women don’t have that luxury. What if they are childless? What if they have terrible jerk-like children? What if children have special needs? The drama doesn’t even address any of that.
