@OP_senju That is the point. They just wanted power. They wanted a staff that grants bending. One of them saw the hypocrisy. I'm assuming they lost people to the fire nation and she saw the city in flames and couldn't stand doing what people who hurt her did. So she help team avatar.

I seriously don't know what Tagah has done that Zaheer hasn't. This is the same Zaheer who took on the entire White Lotus on the very first day he became an airbender.
To be honest, I stand by my point that Zaheer can go toe to toe with Tagah! You guys are just overhyping this Tagah guy.

@Okamilycan5 At this point expect it. They can't defend korra without trashing Aang. You can say literally anything about korra and they'll go "but aang" and then make up something contrary to what he did. Like even if you want to defend korra you don't have to attack aang.

@SimpKingKen @Tilted_FN Unless i am remembering wrong, which is possible, she isn't poisoned yet and is simply the final time she is captured before then. This is also the time Zaheer unlocks flight but he was using flight when fighting her poisoned. She looked rougher and she broke chains when poisoned

@SimpKingKen @Tilted_FN They only fully poison her once she's in the cavern, four chains to each side suspending her mid-air. This is the part i believe where they basically made a deal. They captured the new air benders, korra went in, they ambushed to stop her from getting taken. 1/2

Aang obviously. Better speed, durability, and power in base. Korra got one shot by a single airbending shot from Zaheer. Aang tanked spirit world amped Tagah's REGULAR attacks. How exactly is she supposed to put him down? Mind you this knocked her out for HOURS💀

@SimpKingKen @Tilted_FN She isn't poisoned yet. If i remember right this is where they have korra and want to take her to do the poisoning but the team jumps them, korra fights for a moment but fails, and he unlocks flight. When she is poisoned she's using the avatar state.

(To be fair Tagah is cracked n I enjoy that he never actually lost a fight)

@Tilted_FN I keep saying- people overestimate korra. Oh she's a good bender. She bent 3 at early ages. She was trained a lot. Yes. She's not a BAD fighter. But how many fights does she lose in her own series? Actually most of them. Aside from fodder she often needs help. She's not instawin

Doesn't mean they should let bad things happen or if bad things happen as a result of her actions it isn't on her, etc. She chose to open the portals and keep them open. The people it causes harm to is a direct result of her.

My theory is a climate change allegory.
Korra warned humanity. When humanity did something stupid, they tried to go to her to wash their hands of this, but this hydra grew enough heads that it was too big for her to solve. Humanity chose to scapegoat rather than accept fault.

@Lord_Samael32 @futurxd in avatar state. The avatar state is specifically the past knowledge strength and skill of past avatars. Outside of that it is all on them as to how good they are. However Korra is actually probably one of the weakest avatars now since her avatar state lost its past lives.

@futurxd By the virtue of Korra being after Aang she should, statistically, be stronger than him. I feel like that should go without saying. Might not be by an extreme degree, but she should be stronger than him. Now her being a "better character" is the actual debate and I say no.

@RileyAlbarn @TheCardinalArts Red lotus was definitely a highlight. Zaheer being philosophical instead of just a powerhouse was also a good change. He wasn't strong enough on his own to win, but with a team and strategy they did quite well as villains. Still suffered the only 1 season per enemy though.

Especially because Zaheers airbending was the result of the harmonic convergence and works as a consequence to airbending returning to the world.

Unalaq's betrayal would've gone over a lot better had he been depicted to Korra and the audience the same way imo. We as the audience knowing he's the villain while Korra doesn't was frustrating.
Have that betrayal shock us BOTH, and she wouldn't get blamed as much.

@RileyAlbarn @TheCardinalArts Yeah agreed to that. Korra's other villains at least were better characters. I mean even Korra's recap episode treated him like a joke, the others not liking him and him being portrayed badly which is how you know for certain he was the worst one. Lol.
