Bluevale Community Club

Over the last year we have been working with students from GMAC & University of Glasgow to create a short documentary on Bluevale Community Club 🤩🎬📽️ As part of this the students done some research on our organisation and attended our services, speaking to staff, volunteers & service users to find out more about what we do 😊 Please take some time to watch the short documentary below which showcases our work within the Dennistoun & Haghill community 🌟 As this documentary was created over the last year it also features volunteer & service user Dean Clearie who we sadly lost earlier in the year therefore this video is also dedicated to Dean ❤️ Thanks to @GMACFilm, @UofGlasgow and the students for choosing Bluevale Community Club for this fantastic opportunity 🥰 Thanks as always to our funders @GlasgowCC, @corrascot , @CashforKidsWest , @TNLComFundScot , @RobertsonTrust & @SC_LotteryTrust for continuing to support the work we do ❤️

A reminder that our FREE Mini Jabberz boxing class for kids born 2014-2017 is currently accepting new members 🤩 It takes place every Wednesday from 4pm until 5pm at 1 Finlay Drive, G31 2BD 📍 This is the main pathway for children into Bluevale Boxing Club with some of our current and past Mini Jabberz recently featuring on our home show and travelling across the UK & Ireland to box 🌟 If you’d like to bring your child along to this class please send us a private message or email liam@bluevale.cc 📩

As the lighter nights and nicer weather begin we’re pleased to announce the return of our FREE community led bike rides 🚴‍♂️🚴‍♀️🚴 This free club takes place every Thursday from 6pm until 8pm meeting in the car park at 30 Abernethy Street, G31 3SZ just next to the blue containers 🚲 There will be a different route planned each week with all abilities welcome 🌟 There is also no need to have your own bike as we can provide a bike, helmet and hi viz vest for each ride 🤩 If you’d like to come along you can just show up or email jacktaylor@bluevale.cc for more information 📩 Please note that this club is for ages 16+ only.

We had another great session at our FREE Mini Jabberz boxing class tonight with a good turn out with some new faces also coming along 🥊 We also had two of our mini jabbberz invited to move up to our main boxing classes to train with the rest of our boxers as they have made good progress 🤩 Our Mini Jabberz boxing class is free to attend and is currently for children born between 2014 and 2017 💪 It takes place every Wednesday from 4pm until 5pm at 1 Finlay Drive, G31 2BD 📍 This is the main pathway for children into Bluevale Boxing Club with some of our current and past Mini Jabberz recently featuring on our home show that took place on Friday evening 🌟 If you’d like to bring your child along to this class please send us a private message or email liam@bluevale.cc 📩

We had a brilliant night on Friday for our boxing clubs home show which took place in the Kerrydale Suite at Celtic Park with over 200 people coming along to support 🤩 It was a great evening of Olympic style boxing with clubs travelling from across Scotland and Ireland to compete against our boxers 🥊 All of the boxers put on a good display with some really good bouts on show, there were boxers of all different ages from 8 years old and upwards showing off their talents 😎 Not only was it a great night of boxing but it was also a great night of fundraising for Bluevale Boxing Club to help us keep the sport as accessible as possible for all young people 💪 Thanks to all of our sponsors for sponsoring bouts, thanks to LME occasions for decorating on the night and thanks to Pulsar DJ’s - Party & Events DJ Hire for providing the music on the evening 🕺💃 Thanks to Chris Leslie for taking photos on the evening 📸 Thanks to all of our volunteers for helpiing to organise the event and helping out on the night 🥰 Thanks to everyone who donated towards our raffles and auction 🏆 Thanks to all of the clubs from across Scotland and Dublin, Ireland for travelling to come to the show 😁 Thanks to all of the officials and Western District Boxing Scotland for helping make the show possible 🥊 And finally thank you to everyone for coming along to show their support and making the evening a great night out ❤️

It’s been a busy week for Bluevale so better late than never with this post… 😁 Thursday was the last day of our FREE 2026 Easter school holiday programme for 5-12 year olds with loads of children attending and having a great day 🐣 To start the day we had some cereal bars for breakfast as we were on the move 🥣 For the last day of this years programme everyone headed to @BlairDrummondSP where we had loads of fun seeing all the different animals and playing in the different play areas 🐘🐆🦁🦏🐒 For lunch we had options of cheese burger, beef burger or chicken nuggets with juice and snacks 😋 Big thank you to @Dacsh23 for supporting this years Easter holiday programme 🥰 As always thank you to @GlasgowCC, @TNLComFund & @CashforKidsWest for funding this years Easter holiday programme ❤️ #chfap

Yesterday was another fantastic day at our FREE Easter school holiday programme for 5-12 year olds with loads of local children attending and having great fun 🐣 As we always do, we started the day the right way with some breakfast 🥣 This years Easter holiday programme is based at Whitehill Secondary School 🌟 All of our groups spent the morning having a fun sports day on the big pitch with loads of different activities 🤩 In the afternoon our 5-7 groups headed to Alexandra Park and our 8-9 group had some fun in the gym hall playing dodge ball as well as other games ☄️ While our 10-12 group headed to Clydeside Easter Funland where they had a thrilling time on all the different carnival rides 🎢🎡🎠 For yesterdays lunch we had options of tomato pasta with meatballs and garlic bread, chicken burgers with potato wedgies and salad as well as some snacks and juice 😋 Thanks to @Dacsh23 for supporting our sports day 🥰 As always thanks to @GlasgowCC, @TNLComFund & @CashforKidsWest for funding this years Easter holiday programme ❤️ #chfap

Today was the first day of the second week of our FREE Easter school holiday programme for 5-12 year olds with loads of local children attending and having fun 🐣 This years Easter club is based at Whitehill Secondary School 🌟 As always we started the day the right way with some tasty breakfast 🥣 Our 5-7 groups then spent the morning playing games in the gym hall and doing some arts & crafts in the dinner school area 🏀🎨 For our 8-9 group they spent the morning at Flip Out Glasgow where they had loads of fun flipping around and using all the different attractions 🤸‍♂️🤸‍♀️🤸 While our 10-12 group spent the morning having loads of fun on the football pitch running around and playing football ⚽️ In the afternoon all groups headed to the gym hall for a Bluevale Disco with loads of dancing, fun and everyone receiving an Easter egg 🕺💃🪩 For todays lunch we had options of sausage and mash with gravy, fish bites with potato smiley faces along with peas and carrots as well as chicken & rice soup, we also had yoghurt and juice afterwards 😋 Thanks to JR Group for their very kind donation of Easter eggs for all of the kids 🥰 As always thanks to @GlasgowCC, @TNLComFund & @CashforKidsWest for funding this years Easter school holiday programme ❤️ #chfap

Today was the second day of the first week of our FREE 2026 Easter holiday programme for 5-12 year olds with loads of local children attending and having fun 🐣 As always we started the day the right way with some breakfast before heading out on our day of adventure 🥣 Our 5-7 group spent the entire day with our friends at Baltic Street Adventure Playground where they had loads of fun in their playground getting messy 🤪 For our 8-9 group they headed to Alexandra Park where they had a fun morning before playing some sports on the Whitehill pitch in the afternoon ⚽️ While our 10-12 group spent the morning having loads of fun on the pitch before heading to Glasgow Green in the afternoon 😎 For todays lunch we had options of chicken curry and rice, burgers and chips with side salad, soup with a roll as well as snacks, fruit and juice 😋 Thanks to @GlasgowCC, @CashforKidsWest & @TNLComFund for funding this years Easter holiday programme ❤️ #chfap

We had another great day on Wednesday at our FREE ASN Arts & Crafts programme as we got creative and had some fun 🎨🖌️ For this weeks project we made cute little baby chicks using lollipop sticks 🐥 First we made triangles out of the sticks by gluing them together before we then painted them yellow to make them look more like baby chicks 😄 While we waited on them to dry we drew round our hands to make the baby chick’s wings and cut them out, we also cut out the heads a beaks ✂️ Once the paint was dry we were able to stick on our wings, heads and beaks for the finishing touches 🌟 We still have some space in this free programme which takes place every Wednesday from 5:30pm until 6:30pm at the Salvation Army Hall. We are pleased to announce that our FREE Adaptive Fitness classes will be returning better than ever from next week 🤩 Our new adaptive fitness class are designed so everyone can participate — regardless of ability, injury history, or fitness level. We are pleased to announce that Bluevale Boxing Club will be holding our home show, Clash On Clydeside, on Friday 17th April in the Kerrydale Suite at Celtic Park 🤩 This will be a fantastic evening of amateur boxing with loads of talent on show from across the country 🥊 There will be a delicious buffet on offer provided by the catering team at Celtic Park along with live music and a DJ 🕺 As our boxing club is completely free to the young people who attend, home show’s are how we raise money to keep the boxing club running. Money raised for home show’s go towards registering boxers with Boxing Scotland, medicals, entry fee’s for competitions, travel and other expenses that come with boxing across the country 🌟 Tickets are £50 per person and can be purchased by sending us a private message or sending an email to homeshow@bluevale.cc 🎟️ We hope to see everyone there for what will be a fantastic night at a world renowned venue 🏟️
