2nd Live Period Recap for our seven Empire teams from 8th-11th grade: 🔥 17s: 3-1 | +21 PD Allowed the fewest points in pool play. Complete team effort led by @Rmohammed_1 who averaged nearly a triple-double on the weekend (Friday standout player) @liv_vieira24 was the team’s 2nd leading scorer and rebounder, while @SawyerRodrigo3 @addivaldez @sarahweinick @AddieFlem17 embraced and executed their roles. Still learning how to play together. Puppies in training 🐶 🔥 15 Blue: 1-3 | +7 PD Losses by 10, 1, and 2 points while still finishing with the 2nd best defense in the pool. More puppies in training 🐶 🔥 14 White: 3-1 | +34 PD Most points scored in pool play and 2nd best defensively. 🔥 14 Blue: 4-0 | +56 PD Most points scored AND fewest points allowed in pool play. Overall Record: 28-9 (75%) The STANDARD IS THE STANDARD from 8th grade through 11th: compete, play hard, be a good teammate. No one gets a pass. Sometimes you’re the nail, sometimes you’re the hammer — as long as we’re building life skills and learning to handle adversity through the sport. Doesn’t matter the league or event — Empire teams will compete year after year. We don’t lose, we win or learn. We raise the floor, not the ceiling. Raising the ceiling happens once, we strive for consistency. Development happens when players become comfortable handling hard better.
